It isn't commonly recorded, and the stem coloration and broad scales at the cap margin, from what I can tell, don't seem to match the description. But I could be wrong. Stature and the rubbish ring are about right. A shot from above might help but I don't often enjoy trying to ID pictures of Agaricus.

Ive been looking for these too. I Imagined them to be much stouter though. Short with in curved cap margins. But this is an old one so its hard to say. So can you note any defined scent from the flesh? And there is no staining what so ever?

It does have a smell after washing which is VERY much like a mushroom 'should' smell. Almost earthy. I also now have a photo of a washed, younger specimen.

Argh! Don't wash before id. OP - we need clear shots of the whole durned shroom - cap, gills, stipe, everything intact and then slice it in half and let us see good closeups there to absolutely verify gill attachment.
And there's really no need to wash mushrooms at all. Use a small semistiff brush and gently flick any duff or sand or critters off. If that doesn't get rid of the offensive spot, a very small serrated blade can be great to just barely scrape the skin. Then cut off any truly offending bits. If you wash it it's a sponge and they don't need any more water content.
Kids, that looks like maybe augustus to me. The individuals in my first flush were quite large which helped me to key them to augustus, but subsequent fruitings have been smaller - I'm taking 'em when they're maybe 6" high, just when the veil begins to separate.
OP - I bet you pulled the veil remnants off of that young one? Too bad you didn't photograph all of it first.

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."
