Golden Oyster mushroom shelf life

I live in georgia and recently started growing grey oyster mushrooms. I found someone to sell them to but they are not local and have to be shipped about 200 miles away. Not trying to make money yet, I just want to be able to cover my costs. It gets too hot to grow the oyster mushrooms outside, but I have a shed I will be able to turn into a fruiting chamber. I hear golden oysters are easier to grow in the hotter temperature (I will have ac in the shed), but I can't find any information on the shelf life for golden oysters. I heard that pinks can go bad in just 2 days so I can't use them.
Thanks ahead of time for any help or info you might have.

I wouldn't be thinking about growing enough mushrooms to sell any time soon especially given the way you took care of your spawn bags. Chances are you'll fail on a huge level. I would start smaller. Also the medicinal and gourmet section on these forums is where you can ask about non-active species.

Most mushrooms have the same shelf life and it really depends on the packaging. Oysters, Shiitake, Agaricus all seem to do well for about a week. If you ship them in a sealed ziplock bag they could end up with a bag of slime. Paper bag or cardboard box seems to work best. 200 miles isn't that far so if you wanted to test different ways of shipping and how the mushrooms will hold up you could ship them to yourself.

I'm not going to sell anything until I can properly grow them. I am just trying to plan which type of oyster mushrooms I should grow.

King oyster is going to be your most structurally sound oyster...by that I mean it will keep the longest before it is no longer presentable.
I started with kings and never looked back. They are monsters.
By comparison, my golden oysters will start falling apart and shrinking after a few days in the fridge. The kings last quite a bit longer.
