I doubt any one will reply to this topic because the question is already answered 100s of times over. I would tick the trusted cultivators box in the advanced search part of the sites search engine. Try a few different phrases.
Search!

But I'd wait to see if I'm not crazy first
That's the way to do it.
Beware of so-called 'teks' posted here. Many were written by first time growers who posted their idea as a 'tek'. Simply use the search feature and type in 'mini-greenhouse humidification' and read all the posts you can find. I've posted excellent ways to humidify a small greenhouse so many times, I can't bear to type it all over again. RR

Why not? That's kind of what we do here. You'll notice the "UTFSE police" rarely occur in numbers and don't ever have much effect, except to illicit flames

I only say that because if you go back 3-4 pages there's always between 5-10 topics per page that have 0 replies because the OP asked a question of this caliber. Funny you posted your GH thread because when I went and did a search to see if good info would come up yours ended up being one of the first topics any way.

ultrasonics have no fan so they don't provide FAE. Coolmists can move air.

FrankHorrigan said: To automate my GH I run a filter-style cool-mist on low 24/7 in the bottom tray with the sides unzipped about 1/4 of the way up. My ultrasonic sits next to it and the mist is directed into the airflow from the cool mist to disperse it evenly. This combined will provide great FAE and even humidifying. You'll need to dial in your timings- I use a hygrostat to monitor my RH and kick on the ultrasonic when it falls too low. PC fans will work for FAE but you'll need to use your ultrasonic more often to keep your RH up.
My King Oysters are loving life, so I know that my conditions are exactly where I want them to be inside the GH

Pretty much, yeah
By itself the wick type humidifier will not provide humidity higher than 86% IME. It really does work great to disperse the moisture from the ultrasonic around though.
So the wick type humidifier is really just for constant FAE + maintaining a certain minimum RH for the environment. The ultrasonic takes care of the rest.
If you don't want to case your trays, then it's just a matter of adjusting your ultrasonic timings to make sure the substrate doesn't dry up too fast. If you really wanted to get fancy you can put the cool mist on a timer as well, but I love my 24/7 FAE
I prefer casing them for the GH as well.
Anything you can add on to that frank?

That would do the trick. Having an ultrasonic and a cool mist works the best in my experience, but right now I run a very similar humidifier to that. I use this to control it and have the humidifier hooked into the same timer as a small fan that sits on the floor of my greenhouse and blows the air around. Since ultrasonics don't have fans, they can have a hard time spreading out the humidity on their own.
To anyone who bitches at you for "UTFSE" for a legit question... sometimes you want to have your own damn discussion so they can just leave the thread

so would something like this be all i need?
Those are two ultrasonics that you have linked, be sure to read the fine print on the amazon pages.
Searching for an "evaporative humidifier" will yield the cool mist you need for FAE. I'm going to clarify that in my thread.
You need something like this and one of the above.
You can buy both of these at local pharmacies and department stores more often than not.
