they look totally fine, what makes you ask?

also I usually cut my cacti at an angle so it doesn't collect water in the scabbed recess, it lessens the chance of rot

Just checking up to be honest  also that bridgessi is very old, I was using it as a stock for a Trichocereus bridgessi monstrose that failed, and the stock cutting hasn't thrown roots for well over a year. Only just rooted, and only recently pupped, it was originally cut at an angle but age got to it. But thanks I will now cut at an angle with further cuttings

I might sound a bit picky but why not fill your post up with soil? Trich's like to be in big pots but by not filling your pots it robs it of root space.
With a good root system and if they are well watered a mid cut should look like it is about to pop especially the cordobensis should be filled out so it is just about round with limited rib definition.

More like this

Cheers
Got

That's a good point GoT.

Soil also looks tired and they would benefit from a repot. It's also shrunk around the edges leaving a gap, water just runs down the sides and out the drain hole. Running your finger around the edge every couple of weeks to loosen the soil will prevent this gap from occurring. If you repot, fill the pots to about 50mm from the top of the rim, this allows some room to water without the soil spilling over the sides when you do. If you cant repot now then "fluff up"(cultivate) the soil to prevent the gap and give them a good watering, making sure to soak the entire medium. The soil looks compacted and a wetting agent may be required to fully soak the soil.
