ID Request: Is this a Coccora aka Amantia calyptroderma?

Habitat: From ground, growing in the duff among conifers.
Gills: Gills are white.
Stem: Yellow white. With a very, very fragile ring leftover from the veil. When cut open, stem is hollow with wet pithy white gooey stuff in the middle.
Cap: Yellow orangey buff getting lighter in color toward the outside of the cap. Skull cap remnant of the veil. Striate cap margins. Younger specimens appear to be a browner.
Spore print: Still waiting.
Bruising: Stem bruises a brown orange rusty color when you touch it.
Location: Pacific forest of Oregon, around 1000 feet.
Other observations: The skull cap peels away pretty easily and stays together well. I removed the volva and the stem is pretty uniform width, maybe slightly larger at the base but only slightly.

I'd call it that; which is to say I'd call it Amanita lanei.
I haven't seen the rest of the stipe and the base though, and I wouldn't eat them in any event.

This begs the question: is A. lanei deprecated?

How come?
A young coccora is suppose to be reminiscent of calamari.

I have long had trouble trusting species-cluster-fucks within this particular genus. I generally have trouble trusting this genus at all, even if I take it beyond the usual caution.
Maybe it's a shame (I've walked past probably thousands of pounds of this mushroom).

I totally understand.. I have steered clear of Amanitas all together, however, this season I am considering trying the Boil method for eating muscaria for dinner... I am also considering trying this one... amongst a few others I would like to try.. some of which I have yet to even find personally... but I have come across several edible amanitas.
For the longest time, white gilled mushrooms scared me... I am feeling much more informed, so I am considering trying more of the edibles that I have passed on for years..
My BF wants to talk with some experts first though, he is less informed and doubts me, totally understandable.

Thanks for the replies, all. We were pretty sure that's what it was, we found one a couple days ago in a different spot that keyed out exactly the same.
I figured there would be a few "Amanita-no-eat-a" folks on here. I have also been scared of white gilled mushrooms in the past, but in the last five years my mushroom friends and I have gone from only chanterelles, to adding shrimp mushrooms as well as shaggy parasols, and a whole slew of other fungi. We're starting to feel a lot more confident. We've seen these in the past so we decided this year to key them out and see if they were in fact what we believed to be coccora.
Sorry if I got the scientific name wrong, one of the first website that popped up was Mykoweb and they have it as A. calyptroderma. Wikipedia has it as A. lanei.

I'd want to see a bit more before I called it that, but it looks promising.
I find the yellow spring variant in abundance under live oaks in February and March. I would be curious to see if they taste the same. The standard "fall" Coccora doesn't appear at all locally in the same habitat. It's hard for me to believe they are the same species as is commonly suggested. Does anyone know if the two varieties have actually been sequenced and shown to be the same?

Edit: I found an answer to my question in case anyone else was curious.

I believe calytroderma is the accepted name now.

Here's another pic. I took the volva off, it was very easy to remove. You can see the fairly uniform width of the stem really well in this one. You can barely see the rest of the ring, pretty worn away from handling it.

No bulbous base, a thick volva (and patch), and the clearly striate cap margin - everything appears to match up.
In the future for identification purposes please take pictures with the volva intact. The way it adheres to the stipe is important for many Amanita species.
