hehehehe I finally hit jackpot, my best haul yet and yes I'm POSITIVE they're gyms...I'll post pics tommoro when I get the chance. The question though is how do you dry out a LARGE amount of thick mushrooms quick and with a smallish budget. Definitely not buying a food dehydrator so what's ur fav desiccant and what materials do you use, etc. I'm prob gonna chop them up to maximize surface area then yeah...just need some quick pointers thanks

Like all large mushrooms when you don't have fancy equipment; slice, spread out, air dry.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

slice through the cap like a pizza; cut through the center at least 8 times (half by half, until the edges are dry,) until after a couple days next to a fan when they're dry but not quite there yet. once you get those as far as you can go, put 2+ layers of paper towels down over a 1 inch layer of uncooked white rice. The rice draws moisture out of the tough gymn caps. I've stored 'em for over 1.5 yrs without mold or others this way, w/o having to CO(2) dry 'em.
I've been told that drying gymns wastes them, where, particularly, the east coast is concerned and junonious is the most prevalent. I'm not trying to argue that, but without an easily acceptable alternative that allows for an easy extraction of the psychoactive compounds, how can those mounds of magic dealt with w/o CO2 extraction?
