My wife and i are really into wax play. We started experimenting with it one lovely night a few months into our relationship and cant get enough the only problem is none of the stores around town sell the right type of candles. Is anyone else into this or are we just that kinky?

Pouring hot melted wax on your partner during sexual activities. It feels awsome.

The candles should be made for wax play. Decorative candles burn too hot. We use some we bought off etsy. They are hypoallergenic and i have bad allergies so they work well.

Decorative candles do work and are safe - just not all of them. Buy an assortment of candles and try it out on your hand/arm with a little drop. Particularly the pigments used in colored candles tends to raise the melting point of the wax. Especially in candles with a colored outer layer (the kind that tends to peel off quite easily), this can be a concern.
Also, varying the height from which you drop the wax is a good way to control the heat. So with a little bit of care and experimentation, you don't necessarily need to resort to specially made candles. Regular white candles with no fancy coloration or outer layers can be really usable in my experience.
But, of course, it's good to keep an eye on safety.

I have super sensitive skin so the decorative ones cause me problems. The second time we tried we did so with some from wm, i broke out all over. The wifw didnt react badly though.
