Amanita frostiana or amanita muscaria

Hi all,
First post here but i have been folowing this site for a wile now. Still, im a newb :p
So i went shroomhunting earlier today and found two nice shrooms witch i am prety shure are amanitas. But wich? With my field guide i got to debate wether its muscaria or frostiana. Your help would be apreciated 
Btw, i live in quebec Canada and my field guide is from this region so both species are potentialy in my area.

EDIT: even if we know its amanita, got the spore print its white

amanita muscaria ...im no T.I. tho...and I might be but isn't frostiana a muscaria var?

yea that looks like muscaria to me too, also NOT A T.I.!
But even the stem looks right, the weird part at the bottom.

Among other characteristics, you can see how small the fruiting body is, relative to A. muscaria with the cap already turning upward. I would be weary of the one the photo shows you holding. I susect that one of being another Amanita species, most likely bad news.

I might be weary of it.
But size? I mean, theres alll kinds of reasons for a mushroom to be smaller than average specimens. Doesn't seem like a normal identification criteria.

It is a very widely used criteria in Identifying Amanita, and can help you rule out Amanita muscaria pretty quickly.

I would believe that without anything else...amanita are nothing to mess with...and it really does look small but like jet said, very mature looking already...if in doubt, throw it out...
