RR, TMethyl, or anyone with experience using a "fruiting tent".

Anyone ever used a "fruiting tent" similiar to the first pic referenced in this post?

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17736027#17736027

Was it done in a GH which wouldn't make much sense or in a regular old room?
Love to hear thoughts from the old hands who attempted it ie: tmethyl or RR. Especially concerning how they worked fae out as I am interested in trying this on longer beds.

I know I'm a bit early but bump. Can't believe I can't get at least an opinion on this.

From what I understand, the picture in the first post isn't a fruiting tent, it's just a straw log covered by a plastic tarp. That's all there is/was to it, RR just threw a plastic tarp over the straw and it fruited nicely.

If you look in the bottom right corner of the pic it looks like there was a slit cut there for FAE or something.

Love.

TheApprentice did the "chamberless fruiting tent" and it looked ok. Seems like a look of upkeep though, and if you live in a dry environment, I don't know how well it would work

If you loosely drape plastic wrap over the substrate, the fruits will push it up as they grow, increasing the FAE over time.

I have fruited oysters covered in plastic sitting in my grow room...it worked great. Just make sure they don't dry up too fast and give them some fresh air every day.

Yes, you can bump my old threads with a question.
Here is how I get things done.
You should take a look. :hehehe:

Like Frank said, the plastic is laid on loosely so there is plenty of FAE. Notice in that first pic you referenced that there is a fairly wide opening in the plastic sheet in the bottom right corner. The plastic keeps the humidity high at the surface, but doesn't trap it in or the air out.

Good information. I'm going to test this on a couple small beds in 2 weeks give or take
