bruising
    #1895976 - 09/08/03 11:11 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

the other day i turned one of my QT jars up side down and it slammed the top of the jar real hard but didn't bruise the mycelium. but the same day i took one cake out of a pt jar with my hands. i looked at it an hour or so later and it was blue where i had touched the mycelium i was very careful and delicate handling the cake. im wondering if the bruising is from the oils in my hands or if that is just the way it is.

Was the cake in a jar at the time? Perhaps the limited oxygen supplies in the jar prevent the colouration associated with bruising (this is a guess)
