My first grow was koh samui super strain. There soposedly not the best on cakes and give you small fruit and a lot of aborts. I didn't get a lot of aborts but I did grow these little guys. You get a lot of them off each cake and there super potent.
That's the cake I picked the fruits from the previous pic off.
This is an overview of my shotgun. The cake is covered in bubble wrap but has a nice pinset and should be fruiting in the next day or two hopefully thell be bigger fruits then my cakes. The 3 cakes that look weird have been in the FC longer I put a hole in the top of them for a little water resivoir instead of dunking. It worked awsome.
This is my first monotub 56 quart tote 4 inch sub it's been in fruiting conditions for 6 days now has some pins. I'm thinking I'm gunna get a Ton of fruit of that and will post pics of it when it fruits.

And the last two pics are my second grow. There Amazonian strain. It's 8 pf jars fully colonised I'm going to let them consolidate untill the cakes in my shotgun finish. The other pic is another mono spawned to bulk today. I put the holes lower for a 3 inch sub. When the monos start fruiting ill throw up more pics but I just wanted to put some pics up of my grows so anyone who helped me knew it wasn't for nothing. So thanks for all the help and thanks for all the teks frank, there well written cover everything and dispell all outdated info in one place. Such a huge help.

Congrats! Looks good! Time to make the switch to just bulk. Pf tek is great for learning the concepts, but can't shake a stick at bulk cultivation.

Yeah I started with pf tek cuz everyone says to but I started doing birdseed before the pf jars were even finished. I think the monotub is actually easier in the fact that I don't have to worry about being home all the time. Should have some really nice pics of the bulk stuff withing the next few days. :-)

You don't need to be home all the time with a sgfc either. I remember rr saying he invented the sgfc because he was working a lot and was far away from home and was gone something like 12 hrs at a time.

I'm gone ever weekend like sat morning till Sunday night so I worry about my little guys all weekend. I like that my mono tub is fine while I'm gone, I turn my fan on, fill up my humidifier, and run it on low and go.

I prepared the grains for the KSSS using a tek I got on another site that had me just put my WBS into boiling water for 90 minutes. It took forever to colonise and while it was colonising and I was reading everything on shroomery I found all the frankhorrigan teks which I followed as far as spawning to bulk and dialing in my monotub, and when I did the grain prep for this second grow with the Amazonian, I prepared the grains according to franks grain prep tek, 24 hour soak with some coffee and gypsum then I heated it till it boiled and drained it let it sit till the out side was dry. It was so much better this time around shook them once around 30 percent I think it was like 9 days to fully colonise maybe 10.

Finally got some that aren't blobs growing nice and tall

My mono is covered in pins but still at least a day or two away from good pics. im really just posting because i have a question and i didnt feel like making a new thread. As u can see I'm starting to accumulate a ton of mushrooms and I have them still wet in the fridge. I need to dry them and have been researching drying methods. Some people use a fan. Some people say fans don't work that good. There's these desiccant chambers but I hear mixed things plus I have a lot and am going to have a real lot when mono and big cake finish fruiting. I see people have dehydration machines and I've looked into them. It looks like its going to run me 50 bucks and I don't want to spend it. I've already spent so much money. So I just want a few opinions from some people who grow a lot of mushrooms. How do you get them dry can I use a fan or do I have to go and buy an expensive machine. I have to dry them soon I don't want them to get ruined.

you can get a dehydrator for as little as 20-30 bucks, but you can also use a fan, your oven on a real low setting with a fan blowing in there, best to dry them as soon as possible!!!!!

they look nice dude.
but yeah, keeping them in a jar stuck together in the fridge will spoil them fast. better to lay them out on a tray with paper or the like. even without a fan you can dry them the wether is't too moist, so it's fine.

Cool thanks so I'm gunna head out to wallmart this weekend but as for the ones I have now I'm going to try and dry them with the only fan I have which is an air conditioner with a fan setting. If I put them on a tray with some paper towels and put it in front of the ac with just the fan setting on will that work. And how long does it take

I used to find tons of cubes in Texas and I would dry them by taking a cardboard box and create a screen by threading fishing line through the top of the box (open end). Put the holes about a half an inch apart and you should have a pretty decent sturdy screen box. I then separated the caps from the stems and set them on the screen. Then I just put a regular house fan on them for about 48 hours. Dries them really well. Good luck!
Update: Shitty diagram just in case my description sucked! (it did, lol)
