PF tek time frame?
    #18957959 - 10/10/13 04:54 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

hello!

I was thinking about setting up some pf jars tomorrow maybe but then i rememberede im going away for two weeks the 27th of november. Which is about 6 and a half week from now. Is there to little time? I dont care about getting many flushes, my only goal is to produce more spore prints this round and if i get a trip or two out if it thats fine. but im in no way in a hurry

what yall think? go for it now or wait?

I would wait if it were me.

You're looking at anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks (extreme) for spore germination. Another week and a half to two weeks for colonization. Then another week for consolidation.

You would get a flush probably. But then you would be gone and the timing on subsequent flushes would be all wrong.

If you're anxious to start, and you're most concerned with some prints, maybe you could do just 1-2 cakes?

Wait until somewhere around Nov 4th-7th. That should give you enough time to have everything mostly colonized when you get back. Always nice to return home to full colonization

Or just do it and don't fruit them till you get back. If you get in-vitro pins then  so what.
