just phase it out. lessen your dose, each time, for awhile, and eventually taper off of it.

Pretty much this.

You should quit all drugs so your body knows what sobriety is and what "normal" should feel like.

Sober real life sucks, feeling shitty is part of the experience.

Well I don't have any connects in jail so that will probably be happening here in about a week.

I already quit smoking weed.

I'm not addicted to anything else, hell I honestly can't even remember the last time I did another drug, its been a while, that's what I was saying earlier is that I can occasionally use "hard drugs" with little to no problem with addiction but I not weed.

EDIT: I forgot I hit some crack a few times like 2-3 days ago, but I barely felt anything and I didn't do anything for a while before that and I haven't done anything since.

sounds like you may have other issues to deal with. you say the longest time without it was 6 months?, compared to 8 years of smoking since 11, it looks like it might take more time than that to recover completely.

what kind of thoughts go through your head when you feel the way you described from weed withdrawal?

I wouldn't say I withdrawal from weed, I don't really know what thoughts go through my mind really, just normal stuff I guess, its not the thoughts themselves that are the problem, it's more of how I deal with my thoughts.

Ehh..

It's mainly my emotions I have a problem with honestly, like if I haven't smoked recently the main emotion I feel is anger/frustration but normally I just feel numb. When I use I laugh, cry(at appropiate times), I'm mad at correct times, i love people, and occasionally feel love back, etc...

but idk I feel like scatterbrained sometimes, and I start to point of flaws in myself in my head that make me insecure, and stuff like that.

hmm

the anger and frustration is normal when you smoke a lot and then stop for awhile. but if it occurs for long periods of time, for example more than a few months, there may be something else that is bothering you. sometimes however it does take some people a longer time to fully recover from drug withdrawals.

keep observing your thoughts when these emotions occur, don't stop till you find a solution.

The only thing I can suggest is that you were high the entire time you were growing into an adult, so of course you don't know what it's like to be sober.

For all you know you have latent mental issues that surface when you aren't high, that you never knew you had because you always got high.
