I bought it to be a Memento Mori.
If you have not ever read about the historical use of a Memento Mori, check this out!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memento_mori
Thoughts?
Should I hide it before having a woman over? (Especially looking for female input, but all replies are welcomed!!!!!)

That's an ugly skull or is that the gurl you are bringing over?

Girlfriend sez: be up front because what if the girl is over and finds it hidden somewhere? That's a much worse situation to explain.
I sez: can I get a skull, encase it in glass and use it as a crystal ball I look into? The first 100% accurate fortune teller. Let me look into my crystal ball and find your future. Oh, looks like you're going to die.
She didn't even smile. I think you should hide it. No story, not even humor, is going to charm them enough for sex after they hear about it.

I'd like a real human skull. I've made use of a plastic model that I yellowed with polyurethane.

I have one that I could give you but I happen to be using it at the moment. Not for much but it does keep my hat from off the floor.

That barely covers the cost of me harvesting it and then boiling it to remove the meat. Make it $500 and I'll pay shipping.

Psh, if you find the right girl, it wouldn't be awkward. There's some dark-humoured women out there that are of the same opinion when it comes to being reminded of impermanence.
You just gotta be picky about your mate choice.

Thanks anyway, but keep your skull. It would probably fly around chasing me like one of the Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake.

ebay, same as everything else. There used to be an occult magazine that you could order skulls from India, priced higher with more teeth in them, but that was years ago, way before Borders Books & Music died.

It cost me $736 which included the shipping.
This thing is the real deal holyfield.
It has a lot of teeth, only a few missing ones. It even has the delicate nasal cavity bones intact.
Many years ago, basically all skulls came out of India.
Now, the skulls were supposed to be from elderly people who died without enough money for a proper burial, or had no friends or relatives they left behind. So, the state decided to donate their body to science if nobody claimed it.
However, all of the skulls that were showing up in University labs, Doctor's offices, museums, etc., all had perfectly intact teeth. Many questions arose.... How many people do you know die with a perfect set of teeth?
