Sorry, that was a bit much. It's just my favorite show. I'm a huge Joss Whedon fan and Firefly is what introduced me to him.

A show that was similar in some respects but had a much longer run was Farscape. Very different premise in many ways but it was also about a spaceship of outlaws. The art department work was also kickass.

That show really started to disappoint me toward the end. Sometimes I think part of the reason Firefly was so great was because it didn't have time to get weird and shitty. I watched Angel all the way through and found that the last season deserved to be the last season. It was like a hollow shell of what it once was (I mean come on, a giant company partly dedicated to dealing with supernatural problems? That sounds like a joke even on paper)

However I agree that it was one of the best art departments of all time

Wait, does Buffy get shitty towards the end too? I'm only on season 5 and I'm still loving it. It's a lot better than when it started..

Idk, never got into Buffy (I know, enjoying a spinoff but not the original show, weird)

For some reason she annoyed the shit out of me at first, then I was kinda meh about her, then I thought she was kinda cute. However, if you try to suggest shes even comparable to Morena Baccarin you and I shall have to meet at dawn for a duel
I got ten on sheen.
Well now we have to duel, but on another note I'd also like to say that I'd bang that crazy chick as well
Something about the crazy/vulnerable combo

Dude, that episode where she tries to take over their ship, before the episode started (it was a two-part story if you remember) I was like "guys, if these two girls start makin out yall are gonna hafta leave cause Im jerkin it," like totally just making a stupid joke. Then there is that one scene where there is sorta like sexual tension between them and I'm like lookin around like "Yall better be prepared to run"

Yeah the last season of Farscape did have a bunch of shitty episodes, but IMO a few were great. Short runs do help avoid things going to shit, but Firefly was just way too short. If it made it to 2 seasons at least I would have been pretty happy with that. Terra Nova is another sci-fi show that was cut too early.

I couldn't get into that show because the premise made absolutely no sense to me. Why the fuck did it have to be with dinosaurs?! Why couldn't we go back like two million years when there weren't such horrendous giant animals? And yes, I'm sure there were silly answers to most of my unnecessarily angry questions, but the whole idea was stupid to me.
In short: want to produce TV show where people have to fight dinosaurs, need reason for said plot to occur...and start writing

Yeah it is a fairly silly premise in some ways, although the part about going back to the past because the world is too fucked in the future is kind of cool. I forget whether or not they explained how that time was chosen in particular. It may have been that they were limited in their choices by the nature of the technology, I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the wormhole or whatever it was that sent them back was what determined why we went back to live with dinosaurs.. They had no control over the time period it opened into or something. Could be wrong though.
I cannot fucking believe that show got cut, but Revolution is now back for it's second season..

K seriously you guyz know what's a good show? Star Trek: The Next Generation
IT's fucking great, I used to make fun of my friend who is a total Star Trek geek but then I started watching it every now and then on netflix for the last couple of months and it's pretty good man.
Like there are some cheesy parts, but nowhere near as much as I though their might be. Mind you I have't finished the first season yet, I think I'm on like Ep. 23 or something but I only see it getting better.

Yeah TNG is like the gold standard for sci-fi TV. SG1 I never really got into but I liked Atlantis.
