What are these?
    #18954459 - 10/09/13 01:44 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys, this is my first post, and I am new to this forum. I've never used psychedelics before but I'd like to.  So, I found these in my yard, and I feel like I should ask what species they are. There are large clusters of them, single ones, and ones that have been chewed on by insects. The pictures are here http://imgur.com/a/16lxz. Let me know if I should go outside and take certain angles.

Armillaria species, should be a white spore print.

The spores are white. While examining them, I noticed for the bigger clusters they had white powder all over them and the grass. Almost like a small bit of spray paint.

No way they're psychedelic, right? Do psilocybin mushrooms even grow in the northeastern USA?

depending on where you are in the northeast, you might look for p. ovoidocystidiata or p.  caerulipes. but what you found is armillaria most likely

I think I may also have p. Caerulipes too. Let me go outside and investigate. I live in Massachusetts.

They aren't p. caerulipes. I just found the phallus mushroom. Anyway, my neighbor has huge amanitas in his front yard, but he hates me, so maybe when he's out i'll snatch them. He also has huge other species, I'll get pictures.
