Both of those species are great indicator species for cyans.

No way, doesn't look anything like it and has too much veil.  Compare with this & this.

I'd guess just Psathyrella.

Is Parasola conopilus formerly known as Psathyrella conopilus?

It was Psathyrella gracilis.

I don't see the difference between the two Byrain.

Yes, also Psathyrella conopilea is an alternate spelling.

Psathyrella gracilis never has been considered the same thing as Parasola conopilus if that is what you are saying?

Parasola conopilus doesn't have a outer veil (On the cap) like that and its differently colored.  I'm betting this one doesn't even have setae on the cap and could be something in Psathyrella subgenus Psathyrella or maybe subgenus Pannucia?  Maybe not enough veil for that though...

Don't remember where I got gracilis mixed up with conopilus.
But I did. I am 0 for 3 right now. I gotta get my head back on right.

i found these the other day on some woodchips beneath some 50 ft red cedars and couldnt figure out what they were. I took some home with me hoping they'd bruise but no luck.

first glance they look like a troop of pellies or somethin ha

totally posting out of turn, sorry.
