Why is it not called "Pro Death"? I mean.....if pro life is the opposite side of the spectrum, and it was around first, why did the Pro Choicers not go with the natural opposite word for life? Which is Death
In regards to abortion

Because you have the "choice", or option of abortion. You don't have to do it.
Was this a serious question, or am I a sucker for trolling? Wait...I think I know the answer.

Because as petty and self centered as the people who use the loaded term "pro life" are, they don't get to pick the name for the opposition.
Why don't we call people who are pro life "Pro crime"? Or "Pro poverty"? Or "Pro back alley"? Or even "Pro coat-hanger"?

Seeing as your initial question was "Why not this particular straw man?" the response shouldn't raise your ire.

In our society death has a negative stigma attached to it.
I don't understand that myself, since everyone dies, and humans don't develop the mental characteristics we use to differentiate humans from other animals until ~age 3.
So really, it's illogical to say we should eat meat but shouldn't abort babies who are 2 years old.

I actually see the point you're making but using that same logic why don't pro-lifer's not call themselves "Pro-Deal With It" (or something which is the equivalent to that) seeing that would be the opposite side of the spectrum?

So then you were aware of the ad hominem you threw in and just didn't care that it was going to make you look foolish, huh?
