Oh, I've had feet so fuzzy they choked my mushrooms to death
But that was under terrible conditions in a plastic bag,
might not have been the fuzzy feet that killed them, but it sure looked like it.

In the first 2 pics you can see smaller shrooms pushing into the fuzziness of the larger fruitbodies.

Genetics you say psilly.. hmm.
Would it be correct to say the genetics just want extreme amounts of fae,
and not that the genetics would create fuzzy feet no matter what conditions?

I'm not smart enough to answer that space. Sorry  On this fuzzy feet thing I am not speaking from personal experience. I have just heard that it is not always environmental and can be a genetic trait

All of my cakes (all from same source) have produced fruits with similar looking "white socks" on the fruits.. as far as I can tell from your pics anyway. But only in the cases where I treated them badly or when they clustered so heavily that there was little air flow in an area did they actually "fuzz" up. I kind of assumed that was just a normal trait, but I have no experience to compare it with.

I really wanted my mushies to thrive, and not just survive, but I just don't get these ones.
Screaming for FAE, drying up substrate, still growing fuzzy at the base.

When I first noticed all the white growth I feared it would be much worse, but I guess this will just be called acceptable.

Looks like most of them will be ready to harvest in a day or two,
maybe the next flush will be better.
They do grow really cramped and tight in there, so it might just be the
shrooms are too close for a good amount of air to flow on all sides of them.

Still, I can't complain about too many mushies in one bucket

I'll try to snap a picture before harvest so I can share it with you :mushroom2:

Alright! Harvest time! I know I love me some myco porn, here's my contribution

Used a standard black thrash bag and was a bit worried while pulling this block out,
but once I got a good grip on the liner, it worked like a charm. Only 4 Liters in volume, so the thin thrash bag withstood the weight.

Tried to show how closely they grew, also this is my first time cutting the shrooms and not twist'n'pull:

Total wet weight 314g, will be just over an oz dry.
The fruits were somewhat hollow, but not as hollow as last time.
Fruiting temp have been 18-20 degrees Celsius (64 - 68 F).

Could the hollow stems be somewhat determined by genetics as well as fruiting temp?
