It is a violation of probation for a dirty urine screen. I smoked weed and got a surprise whiz quiz. :badmanthisfeels:

I liked having the paper mailed to me every day.
Sucked getting a week's worth one day rather than one each day, but it helped me feel closer to the outside.

And  rocky,
It'll definitely feel better once your out.

I never thought of it til now, but an e-cig with a years worth of liquid is a great thing to anusmuggle in, too

Yes my original arrest was drug related. The reason it's such a long sentence for failing a urine screen is because I have a young probation officer with little experience, and she must think that by being a hardass she can get high fives from her coworkers.

7 months for Marijuana. Damn, you're a hardened criminal. Nice to know you'll be locked away.

Just kidding, that sucks man. But why the fuck would you smoke weed while you're on probation
I can sort of understand if you're a straight up junkie or something, but is weed worth you're freedom to some people?

Well bro your a true POW in this fucked up war on drugs.Defiantly sending good vibes your way I find  your situation almost cruel and unusual punishment for such a petty offense. It becoming common knowledge that weed is medicine.

No it really isn't. It was a stupid thing to do. I was rarely getting tested so I thought one time would be alright.

I had a choice of either drug treatment court and the rest of my probation time (2 years) or 7 months in county jail and no probation when I get out. I chose the jail time.

Good choice, fuck being on probation.

Any chance you'll get out early?

Nope. A county year is only 8 months with good behavior, and some of my previous jail time counts towards that. Thus the 7 months.

Do NOT sleep as much as possible.

That will make your time go slow as shit once you can't sleep anymore.

Work out as much as possible. If you do burpees 6 days a week for the seven months you are there, you will be in the best shape of your life.

If I were you I'd get into trustee pod (if they have that sort of thing there). After a while the guards will start treating you like a human being again instead of livestock. Plus it will help you stay busy. Take advantage of this time man, jail can be a blessing if you really want to collect your head space and refocus yourself. Find some serenity.

Starting a commissary store would keep you busy as well... also will help you meet people. Good luck bro, glad you're going into this with the right mindset

I'm going to try and become a trustee just so I can go outside during the day. I'm also going to give meditation a try. I've always had a closed mind about it, but with all of that free time I may as well try it.

I wouldn't recommend sleeping through the day.
Maybe a short (1hr) nap, nothing more.
Eventually it will make you more emotional and disrupt any & all sleep, so you'll be waking up through the night.

Seroquel should help a ton, but I'm sure you already know
Meditation can be great, definitely couldn't hurt to try

Wow this thread actually made jail sound kind of exciting. If i could dedicate my days to drawing, meditating, reading, spending time with myself while someone else pays for me to live...

Wrong.
You actually have to pay to stay there. You will get a bill when you get out.
When i was in jail, it cost $35/day.

Yea when I did my month I got charged like 1600 bucks or some shit.
