Hey guys, i was doing some research and stumbled upon a thread that said if you dont let the pc cool down completely, pulling jars out with tyvek filters or micropore tape after an hour to redistribute moisture you will get contams from the vacuum.
Is this true. Ive always used tyvek envelope as my ge filters as well as take my jars out of the pc after an hour to an hour and a half to redistribute moisture in grains without any issues but i just wanted someone to clear this up for me if you dont mind please.
I found this info relating to tyvek or micropore not being good enough on Cloneufc's no tinfoil jar tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11568277#11568277

The biggest issue is pulling your weights off when it is still pressurized, which will destroy your filter. Wait 30 minutes or so if you have the jiggle type weight, or once your pressure button falls on the turn type cookers.

Even if it did create a vaccuum and suck air in it would be sucking it through a filter. I highly recommend using sfd. I used tyvek for a while with no problems but sfd's are a lot easier to use

Ya i always wait for the weight to drop. My question is about taking jars out of pc an hour after pressure is gone and take hot jars out to shake to redistribute moisture. I read that being hot still the tyvek only is good up to filtering 97% of spores and that it will suck in contams if you dont let jars completely cool before taking them out of the pc.
Id get sfd's but i like to use new lids each time and dont have a ton of time for this hobby right now.

At the end of your run there is no pressure difference between the inside and outside of your jars if you have proper gas exchange.
