Get a prescription for a sleep-aid that your jail allowa before going in Stuff your butt with drugs if you aren't subject to a cavity search when going in. I'd stash potent stuff like benzos/etizolam, an easy going potent psychedelic, and maybe a potent synthetic cannabinoid for fun (you can eat them)

I think I'd actually try and keep to myself unless I had a reason to think anyone in there was quality enough to be worth having extensive interactions with
Actually you'd be surprised. I know there are a lot of streotypes about people in jail, but I met a few awesome people my first time there, and i'm still in contact with one of them.

IME jail isn't shit really, just boring at times. Jails vary though, some are pretty bad I hear.

Learn a trade or get education so when you get out of jail, you can actually do something worthwhile.

This is true. The jail i'll be in is not bad at all. It is clean, and not really strict at all. EXTREMELY boring though.Quote:

I'm planning on going WWOOFing when I get out, which i've wanted to do for awhile, but probation wouldn't let me leave the state to do it.

Wrong. You actually have to pay to stay there. You will get a bill when you get out. When i was in jail, it cost $35/day.

I didn't realize this. I didn't have to pay anything the last time I was there. How long were you in jail Lysergic?

learn to enjoy being watched by large angry men while masturbating.
smuggle a sheet of acid in your urethra.
start practice on making the finest of toilet hooch.
learn to draw, learn to tat, learn how to make tattoo guns out of cd players, and ink from random shit.
rip out a pube every night and start a collection until you have enough to weave into a voodoo doll then throw it over the prison walls, since it is of your essence, you will magically fly with it.

Jail kinda sucks though, Just a little bit.. The whole CJ system here is counter-productive, if anything.
I don't know OP or how he handles his drug use, though
Jails the one place pretty much guaranteed that you don't have ANYTHING better to do, or are supposed to be doing, so...

I struggled with opiate addiction for a few years, and never use them now. I handle my drug use pretty well, but I want to try to stay sober in jail to avoid getting caught with drugs and catching a longer sentence.
Plus, when I get out the first roll or trip that I have will be that much better if i'm not using in jail.

I never spent more than 5 days in jail, but I recommend sleeping as much as possible. Write and draw when your awake. That's just about all I did.

I'm awful at drawing. Maybe my sentence is a good opportunity to practice.

you can always make alcohol with your little fruit juices and white bread. Just add the bread to the juice and let it sit for a week in half and you got pruno. My I ask if it is drug related that you are doing time?
