does anyone have any ideas to naturally remove co2, Im thinking bout trying the algae soda bottle air pump deal. when I grew mushrooms before I also had pot plants in the same room, so the plants sucked up a lot of the excess co2, but that's not an option this time, so does anyone have any ideas not involving house plants?

If you need to remove excess co2 then you're doing something wrong. There's people here that have 8 monotubs growing in one room with no problems let alone the people with green houses or businesses.

Air holes. I would make one of these http://www.mushroomvideos.com/Terrarium-Tek They're cheap, easy and will have virtually no CO2 buildup without the need for a pump.
CO2 buildup in the room, and not just in the FC, isn't likely to be an issue unless you have your FC in a closet or something.

Yeah you would have to have a small room that is nearly sealed off for this to be a problem

Do people pump CO2 in to their plant grow rooms? Do they pump O2 in to their fruiting chambers?
A properly made FC is easy to accomplish and will provide all the CO2 removal and O2 mushrooms will need through GE.
OP, the difference in colonization and fruiting times can easily be attributed to genetics, temperature, and/or spawn ratio.
I seriously doubt the plants made a difference. However, the plants' growing environment might.

they do benefit being in the same room, I used have my plants boxed in in one corner of the room and my mushrooms were in the same room but in a closet. so the growing mycelium and mushrooms give off co2 and the plants suck up the co2 and put out oxygen. but I was running a 600 watt hps, wich brought my electricity bill up around $40 per month, and that's just the hps running 12 hours a day, for vegetive growth I start with a t5 light for clones and early vegative stage, then I hit them with a 250 watt metal halide for 20 hours per day for 2 weeks before placing the plants under the hps for flowering. I grew weed hydroponicly for 11 years, it was my hobby I loved it. but it brought up my electricity bill around $90 per month for all the lights, I cant afford my bill going up that high, so putting plants in the same room is not an option for me at this time. FYI: anyone who grows weed and actually knows what there doing, out of all the strains Iv grown in 11 years, ICE is the absolute best iv ever grown, excellent thc production, awesome for making hash with the leaves, excellent production as far as bud weight, and it wont stink up your whole house. so any of you out there looking to set up a bud grow, my recommendation after doing for 11 years, is ICE, also top 44 is excellent, and finishes in 44 days, give or take, wich allows you to do 8 crops per year rather than the typical 6 crops per year with most strains that take 60 days to finish flowering.
