I know it is hard to tell with text but I thought it was pretty obvious I was exaggerating my point, and my whole point from the beginning relates to what the thread was originally about.
I thought it was pretty obvious from what sVs had said that he had placed some major qualifiers on his "human nature hasn't changed" claim, namely that major changes hadn't taken place over a limited time window. Obviously that point is arguable both ways, but the period he was talking about was pretty short in evolutionary terms. Your stance "You said that humans had never changed ever, so you must be either an evolution denier or a hypocrite" was basically a straw man argument, you were arguing against a point he hadn't really made and attributing it to him. When I pointed this out, your rebuttal was "Semantics," kind of a cop-out since your own argument relied heavily on semantics.
Quote:
People have changed greatly due to innovations and inventions, and the changing world around us. People are continuing to change with the advancement of technology.
And a few more examples of how human nature has changed:Money,Toilets
Paper money has added something to human nature that was no there before, and somewhere in human history people started becoming uncomfortable with shitting in front of people, and some people cant even talk about it without getting embarrassed. You think early humans worried about that?
And technology is still relatively new so we have not yet had the opportunity to fully see how it will change us
All depends on how you define "human nature" I suppose. Embarrassment and greed have been around for quite a while though, even if the things we get embarrassed or greedy about have changed. Human behavior has certainly changed a great deal, but that doesn't necessarily mean that our core motivations are totally different.
Nothing you just said takes away at all from the point I am trying to make, external factors change human beings and the interent is one of those external factors, and it is still a little too new to see exactly how it will change us. These changes take a long time to take effect but we are already starting to get a glimpse of what it is doing and the more technology advances the more we will see it

Passengers on smartphones didn't notice man with gun before slaying
SAN FRANCISCO — Passengers on a crowded San Francisco commuter train were so absorbed in their phones and tablets they didn't notice the gunman until he randomly shot and killed a university student who had just exited the train, authorities said.
The man drew the gun several times on the train, with surveillance video showing him pointing it across the aisle without anyone noticing and then putting it back against his side, authorities said.
Before that moment, footage showed the man pull out the .45-caliber pistol and once wiped his nose with the hand holding the weapon, District Attorney George Gascon and Police Chief Greg Suhr said.
"On the surveillance video we have, everyone is looking at their cellphones and personal devices and nobody notices. I find that to be very concerning," said Gascon recently when announcing murder charges against Nikhom Thephakaysone in the Sept. 23 fatal shooting of Justin Valdez.
"It doesn't appear that anybody saw the gun when he actually took it out," Suhr told reporters when he announced that Thephakaysone was arrested the next day.
In the surveillance video, Thephakaysone is seen exiting halfway out of Muni train and then extending his arm out as if he had pulled out a gun, followed by the sound of one gunshot, said Alex Bastian, a spokesman for the DA's office.

This is an actual conversation I had the other day. At no point were we more than 20 ft away from each other.
