Hi Guys. Have barely been on the Shroomery recently but thought I'd share some recent find with you guys now I've managed to get a moment online. Had a few good hunts, the pictures in this post are from the best day of the season for me.
First find, still in the car park - Macrolepiota procera:
Must have found more of these this year than anything else.
I like the way the Birch bark cracked where this Piptoporus betulinus was protruding from:

There were hundreds of Russula species about:

Then finally my first ever Cep, Boletus edulis!
I've been hoping to find these for a long time now since a colleague gave me one at work and I first sampled their divine flesh. This one was in good condition and large too, standing taller than my Galaxy S2
Amanita species close to A. fulva. Once I find time to get scoping I hope to start eating these:

This was cool, Pseudoboletus parasiticus on Scleroderma citrinum. There were tons of Scleroderma around:

My first ever Stinkhorn, probably Phallus impudicus:
 Actually my girlfriend found it.
My first Leccinum species. I didn't make an effort to get a species level ID but looks close to L. scabrum:
 Tastes Good!
Laccaria. Always nice to find L. amethystina. Other one close to L. laccata:

Then, more Ceps, Tons of them!
They seemed to be associated with Oaks in a grass strip between marsh and forest. There were also lots of Horse Chestnut trees.
The complete haul, back in the kitchen

Wow...you're still getting ceps this time of year?! That's boosted my optimism i'll have to keep an eye out :-)
The last cep i found was in my back garden 3 weeks ago...i was gobsmacked...rooted at the base of a silver birch...along with some other boletes.
Fab haul...thanks for sharing...yum yum! Enjoy!
