Can I pressure cook my jars twice?

I pressure cooked my jars last night at 12:00am (midnight) and was only able to stay up until 1:00am so I didn't quite hit the 90 minute mark that I was supposed too. I have no idea what the steam does to the substrate, other than killing contaminates, but long story short I let them cool in the pressure cooker over night and had plans on inoculating them in between work and school. Now im at school until 7pm and the lid on the pressure cooker hasn't been opened but im afraid I need to pressure cook them again. If I do not need to pressure cook them again someone please inform me but if I do in fact have to then can I have some information on how long since they've already been cooked for an hour last night. Thanks

You can try it, The grains might burn a little. It's never going to be called a good idea but at this point it's try it or start over. Depends on how many jars you have but you could try it and start over. If it were me I would just start over. I've tried re-cooking jars after the first sign of contamination appeared and it didn't work well for me. This situation is a bit different but regardless it's sub-optimal. If you do do it I would still do a full 90M cycle.

you didnt even open the pc, so i would just inoculate them without pc them twice.. also i pc my jars for just 60 minutes, and have no contaniments at all, i think the 90 min thing aint necessary.

You haven't grown enough to give out this kind of advice.
OP, PC them again for the full 90 minutes. They'll be fine. Just check your water level and make sure it won't run dry.

I've heard some people sterilize their quart grain jars only 60M and get contams.
It's easy to hear some things. It's harder to know some things.

You can PC them all you want.
If you didn't go the full 90 minutes last night, go the full 90 minutes today.
The grains will not burn, it is a steam bath and the temp will never get hot enough to burn them so long as the cooker does not run dry
Sometimes I have jars that need to sit for a couple weeks before I get to them. I just PC them again the day before I inoculate. Works great.

We're not laughing at you, we're laughing at the idea of using unsterilized jars.
Whatever site tells you that you can use non-sterile grain jars for what we do here is lying to you, or they have found the holy grail and no one noticed

im working as a caretaker for mice, just open the cages under a laminar flo to work as sterile as possible, so im definately someone supporting the sterile process, but some strains even need certain types of microorganisms in order to colonize if im right concerned?

Sterile grains are required or the contaminants will overrun your myc.
Some gourmet mushrooms need a non-sterile casing layer applied over the surface of the fully colonized substrate. But I assure you, the spawn was made under aseptic conditions and with sterilized grains.

I appreciate the help guys but conflicting answers doesn't put things into perspective for me lol Im leaning towards what Beown1337 said. If he has been doing this awhile I would like to take advice from a "pro" but I would love more professional opinions. I still have 5 hours before heading home from school so that should be enough time to gather the necessary information.

I've been doing this for almost 3 years and run 20+ tubs a month with great success. My trusted cultivator tag reflects this experience.
Trust me, you can PC them again. It never, ever hurts to go the extra distance when it comes to working with sterile media.
