Liberty cap identification help
    #18949120 - 10/08/13 11:24 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Found these beauties on my front lawn under a yew tree in UK...think I picked 'em pretty young. Was so sure they were Liberties when I picked 'em but now looking at some photos I found I am not so sure....can anyone give me a positive ID please? Thanks folks! :mushroom2:

Libs can and do grow on lawns. The UK guys find them in non pastures alot. I know i've found them in baseball diamonds and in grass along trails in city. Not to say fields arent killer. But they are not limited to that habitat.

Here in Scandinavia, libs tend to grow from large areas of tall Deschampsia cespitosa grass. I'd check that kind of areas first.
