San Pedro Effect Difference: Dried/Gelcap vs. Tea

Hey guys, I'm having a little trouble finding any hard info on this. I just came into some fine cactus, and need to decide what to do with it. I'm currently thinking of slicing into stars, freezing, thawing, and then putting in food dehydrator. From there, it'd be ground up and put into gel caps.
Is there any real effective difference between making tea from fresh cactus vs. eating capsules of dried/powdered?
The freezing/thawing idea came from other research I was doing on the cactus, some evidence alluded to the idea that the freezing/thawing processes helped break down cell walls and would make the "good stuff" easier for the body to process.
Thoughts? Thanks!

There is a difference between eating raw straight-up green flesh opposed to gelcapping or making resin out of a dried tea.
After years of using Cactus I always recomend either eating fresh green flesh or making a tea that is made out of the green flesh & white fiber.
Dried flesh or dried-out tea (a.k.a. resin) doesnt hit as hard or as fast leading to a weaker experience.
Cut those spines off, slowly peel that waxy outer-layer off, and then EAT that green flesh like it's a vegetable...eat it on a empty stomach...TRIP BALLZ YO!!
