Hello this is my second attempt of a Reishi grow, I started with a LC I had and went to agar, wanted to know if these plates looked like bacteria or micillium from the experts thanks in advance.

cannot see any bacteria, but that doesnt mean it isnt underneath the myc. Good news is REishi doesnt care much. a good strain will out grow bacteria once you get it onto grain or sawdust. Do some agar to grain transfers with those soon.

Wouldn't you be able to smell it when you open the petri to do the transfer? Bacteria should stink and mycelium should smell good. idk about reishi though since i've never grown it, but most mycelium smells good to me.

In my experience reishi has a very distinct smell. To someone who is inexperienced it may smell a little off. but if you can find a reishi and cut it open and it smells similar to the mycelium in the dish than everything is probably good to go.

Doubtful. If there is bacteria lurking under the Myc it is being heavily suppressed by the reishi. Either way the last thing you would want to do is stick ur nose in it. Reishi is strongly antibiotic. It doesn't really care about bacterial contam. It grows over it.
