LeBron and Dirk both want a shorter season.
I agree but not for the same reasons.I don't give a fuck about injuries. I just think less is more.
One new suggestion is instead of two free throws make it just one worth two points. I support that.
11 minute quarters. That's stupid as shit.
I know there's a million reasons why they say they can't do the shortened season.

Are you guys down to play fantasy basketball this year?
Maybe we could play for a bit of money... 5 bucks a person just to keep everyone interested throughout the season, if not we can play for free. Doesn't really make a difference for me.
I'll set up the league tomorrow if you guys are interested. We only really need 4 people, but 6+ would be a lot better. Just let me know.

Alright guys. Disregard the last post.
I already set up the league, all you have to do to join is follow this link:
https://yho.com/nba?l=115135&k=e2b781a8f662229a
I set the draft for the day before opening day. Monday, October 27th at 8pm EST. If the date and/or time doesn't work out for everyone involved, we can reschedule to any other time or day.

Steve Nash is out for the season. Picking up old guys past there prime is almost always a bad idea. Unless maybe they have a small bench role, but Nash is getting big money.
I'm thinking Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak is way past his prime.

Yeah
Nash even admitted he should retire but as long as he can score a fat contract he'll take it.
He's in the best of the rest conversation (no ring) I guess. Unless I forgot something.

Steve Nash is pretty much outta the picture in the NBA imo.
He's milking whatever contract he has till he retires which will probably be after this season. He's looking like a shell, if you can even call it that, of himself compared to just a couple years ago.
Anyways... Any of you guys watched the games last night and today? I've been busy and wasn't able to catch any of the games. Anything interesting happen?

I was watching baseball as I am now but Pops said some funny dry shit as usually.
Where do the Spurs need to pick things up in the second half?
On the basketball court.

Randle out for the year. Just the Lakers luck. Draft a good prospect 7th overall and lose him for the year in the first game. Then you got Nash getting paid for nothing. Kobe looks good though. He's going to be one of the better SG's even at his age and after the injuries. That's assuming he stays healthy.

Finally got a chance to watch some highlights. I was pretty surprised as well at how good Kobe looked after a couple embarrassing outings in pre season I read about on bleacherreport.com.
I know the Heat are mostly irrelevant to people outside of the area now that Lebron is gone, but they looked pretty damn good against the Wizards with their opening game tonight. Wade is looking really good as usual. Bosh is playing the style of ball he used to play in Toronto (although I still don't like him very much after 4 or 5 years..however long he's been down here), and the new additions from the offseason like McRoberts are looking decent.
Anyways, how are your respective teams looking on their first outing of the season?

Bulls have no problem beating Knicks at NY. Gasol and the Bench Mob get it done.

where or who did that lolsy comment come from?
And at the cavs getting trounced by the lowly knicks in their opener tonight. Made me smile although I only caught small chunks of the game due to watching the saints game at da same time.

That sucked. It doesnt really matter in the grand scheme of things with 81 more games left to be played and everyone knew it would take some time for the team to "gel," but it would have been nice to start the season off with a win in the home opener. It's just going to be annoying listening to ESPN "experts," talk if the Cavs happen to lose tomorrow when they play @ Chicago.

Cavs vs Bulls should be a fun game to watch.
You're absolutely right about this game not making much, if any impact, with the whole season ahead. I'm pretty sure they will start to play some very dominant basketball in the following month or two.
It really reminded me of how the Heat was playing for the first few months of the first season LBJ was down here in Miami. I was trying to refrain from using the world "gel" because it was so frustrating hearing that every damn day for so long when the Heat big 3 came together.
I'm assuming you're a Cavs fan by the way you phrased your post. Amiright?
