So who does everyone think is the title favorite right now?
It's so tough to pick. Between Chi town and Cleveland in the east, and OKC, SA, and LA (Clips) in the west, this is gunna be one interesting season.
I think I might have to go with Cleveland honestly, but its so close.

I highly doubt Cleveland will win it but damn it would have been nice to put 20$ on them when they had like 20/1 odds.

Damn Danny Ferry is dumb as fuck. Step down, asshole.
What is he even talking about? Too much AFrican? What in the fuck does that even mean and why would it be in a discussion about player skill? fucking racist and a terrible GM, signing 30 year old joe johnson to a massive contract was proof enough

Danny Ferry. I thought people from Duke were supposed to be smart.
One of the Hawks owners wants his ass fired.
Wayne Embry, the first black NBA GM ever has supported Ferry, but his comments made no sense either. He said a GM has to perform due diligence when evaluating talent. I guess this is a way of evaluating talent??
Luol Deng was always a good guy on the Bulls and I was sorry to see him go.
Danny Ferry must have forgot what a disappointment he was when he got to the pros.

This thing is weird...apparently he was just reading a scouting report from a 3rd party? So it wasn't Ferry's words specifically...but he's still a dumb mfer for reading it out loud even if it wasn't his personal thoughts....regardless this could ruin the hawks meager franchise

In this political climate hell yes it could.
I would have gotten fired for saying “we need to stop playing so much gay ass music, no one wants to hear lady gaga or god damn miley cyrus”

I don't know how Cleveland or Chicago will mesh this year. It seems like the champion should come out of the West. But if the Spurs are too old, it could be a dead heat.
I only know the stars on the Clippers; not the rest of the team. OKC will be right up there.

How can you?
I love his “apology” tweet that you can tell his boss told him write verbatim or else find a new job.

I think that a Cavs vs Clips final would be really entertaing to watch. Besides my hometown Heat the LAC are my favorite team to watch.
what the hell is going on in ATL? I dropped and broke my laptop so no ESPN for me. Anyone care to fill me in?

Hawks ownership sent out some emails, two years ago, basically saying they need to stop catering to black fans so rich suburban white will feel more comfortable going to games and buying a bunch of overpriced merchandise.
I guess they figure playing country music during the timeouts is the secret. I'm no billionaire tycoon business genius but I always figured WINNING A FUCKING RING MIGHT HELP! Just a thought.

More on the Hawks and possibly getting Dominique involved in ownership
Quote:
“The city is going to play an important role in the buyer who purchases Mr. Levenson’s interest,” Reed said. “Obviously, we have a vital interest as the owner of Philips Arena and the holder of the debt on Philips Arena in making sure that we get a terrific partner in the city of Atlanta. We also have an interest in making sure that the new buyer wants to keep the team in the city and in the city. Let me be clear what that means. In the city and in the city. That means that a prospective owner that receives my support, and I believe the support of the Atlanta City Council, will make a long-term commitment to keep the Atlanta Hawks in the city of Atlanta and will make a long-term commitment not to move the franchise. I want to publically state from the city’s perspective that is going to be our perspective to whomever the prospective owners are.”
Reed declined to name the list of prospective buyers.
The press conference was attended by several local civil and human rights activists and Hawks legend Dominque Wilkins. Wilkins said he has an interest in purchasing the Hawks but declined to say whether he was one of the six current prospective buyers.

Bosh on Love playing with LeBron
Quote:
Love, at age 25, averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds his final season in Minnesota. Bosh, at age 25, averaged 24.0 points and 10.8 his final season in Toronto. His averages declined in the four years since, as he reached greater heights (four NBA Finals, two championships) playing with James.
"It's going to be very difficult for him," Bosh said of Love's new task. "Even if I was in his corner and I was able to tell him what to expect and what to do, it still doesn't make any difference. You still have to go through things, you still have to figure out things on your own. It's extremely difficult and extremely frustrating. He's going to have to deal with that."

He’s just as soft if not more than Bosh was.
I don’t think you get any more production out of kyrie than you would Wade. He’s just younger, and then its the exact same supporting cast as it was last year. Espn had a poll about best backcourt in basketball (because dion waters, whoever the fuck that is, said the cavs are the best) lol nope like 70% of america said it was the splash bros.
Im starting to get pumped on NBA. Thinking about getting the new 2k game.

Eh those new consoles piss me off.
They just fucked over the only people that still play console by not having backwards compatibility. I have like 10 years worth of xbox games but theres no fucking way I’m having two consoles to play games i play so infrequently, or spending 400$ to play like 2 games.

Hey guys, its been quite a while since I've been around. Been dealing with a lot of health issues. Anyways, anyone watch the Cavs/Heat game today down in Brazil? Cole is looking more and more like a star PG as he matures. I wasn't really impressed with LBJ. I know its just pre season, but he's not lookin so good. Did he get a hair transplant btw? His hairline is back to what it was 10 years ago.
