He was out for a couple years and one could argue that he became a better passer when he came back.
Not that I like the guy, just sayin.

Oh right on. There's been quite a few players in major sports that have taken breaks or retired, then came back. I was just listing basketball players but yea, Vick came back as a better passer but don't you think he was a much better overall player as well as more consistent while he was with the Falcons?
Fun fact about players taking breaks: After setting just about every NBA record to hold and fucking 10,000 bitches along the way, Wilt Chamberlain retired from the NBA to come back and become an amazing pro volleyball player.

They have to or it's just about over.
In the beginning and middle of the season I stated quite a few times here that they wouldn't be able to win because of "live by the 3, die by the 3." After saying that so many times and GS showing me that they could indeed win by putting up 15+ 3's a game and making over 40% of them I stfu and started believing in them. Especially through the playoffs.
I think it's become a literal Cinderella story. The shoe obviously dropped (but the 3's didn't PUNNNN!) over the last couple games. I think tonight Steph pulls through ftw, though. I'm still calling for GS to win the Finals but in 7 and only because of the way the games are played (2-2-1-1-1). If it was (2-3-1-1) like it's been in the past then I would've gave up on them. Does anyone else here think that the 2-3-1-1 scheduling was complete bullshit for the team with the better record in the past decade?
I like to think the Heat would've beat both the Mavs and the Spurs in 2010 & 2014 respectively if they were scheduled correctly. That was sarcasm..kind of.

I think so, but it's LeBron we're talking about so I am not super confident.
I think he'll be LeBron, but his teammates are inexperienced in the playoffs. It's human nature to relax some when you're up 2-1 and playing at home. They've expended a hell of a lot of energy and willpower to get to this point. While Golden State is now the desparate team. I don't expect all those players to have poor shooting nights again.

Well, holy fucking shit there, zorbman! Your avatar just blew my mind. I can't believe I've never noticed that the Hornets logo is styled just like the Saints with the fleur-de-lis.
Did they change it when they played in Charlotte? And do the Pelicans also style their logo the same way? (I don't feel like looking it all up).

Thanks. I'm a big Saints fan and a New Orleans (then) Hornets fan, so I like getting the two-for-one there. To the best of my knowledge, they changed it when the franchise came to New Orleans. So there's still using it in Charlotte? That's one of my pet peeves, when a team gets a franchise from another city but doesn't change their shit to city-appropriate stuff.
No, the Pelicans logo is a different beast. I know people rag on them about the new name, but I have come to like it. When you start winning, like the Pelicans have, people will magically start liking the new name. Winning is the best deoderant.
Btw, you probably know that New Orleans used to be the Jazz. When Utah acquired them, they kept the name, which still pisses me off! I mean, when you think of conservative, Mormon Utah, do you in a million years think of black, dope-smoking jazz musicians??
I think the new logo is pretty dope, but I admit I'm biased so..

I just noticed that when you pass your eyes back and forth above the red fleur at the top in the blue area..and not focus on the fleur, it appears to be flashing. That's pretty cool.

Yea, we've had many a conversation in this thread about how ridiculous it is that the NOLA Jazz became the Utah Jazz back in the day.
I have to admit that when NOLA first announced they were going to be calling themselves the Pelicans, I had a good laugh. The name has grown on me though. Also I have no room to talk as favorite sports franchise are the Dolphins. It doesn't get too much lamer than intimidating your opponents with a damn dolphin lol.
Very cool that they kept the fleur in the Pelicans logo, though. I probably wouldn't have caught it unless you had pointed it out.

At least they made the pelican look as intimidating as possible. Red eyes and beak.
If you think about it, if that thing got really pissed off or rabid, it could do a hell of a lot of damage with that big ass beak!

Ya but it sounds good, and there is actually a few old school ass Jazz (musicians) guys and black community in Ogden. And there is plenty of “dope" bro, I would wager more, better, and cheaper than you just look at the neighboring states. The other name the Jazz could take would be the Hornets (taken) or Avalanche (also taken) so tough shit dude.....
BTW, when are you guys going to stop pretending to be French? You realize the French gave no shits about the Louisiana Territory and sold the whole thing for nothing. From La Nouvelle-Orléans (what you city would be called if you were actually French) all the way up the Mississippi and Missouri rivers(like half of America).
You know what the shittiest part of Canada is? The Part that pretends its still French....

Delly playing terrible tonight. Cleveland can’t find any offense outside of Lebron.
GS looking real good, even with splash bros minimal impact on the game. No way Cleveland wins back to back in games 6 and 7 IMO.

When GS plays with such a fast tempo like they have so far tonight not many teams can keep up. Actually no teams can keep up.
lol at the camera guy all worried about his camera while Lebron is squirming on the ground with pain after hitting his head on it. Are you watching these replays?

I just dont see cleveland pulling it back and winning this game. Lebron is off and no one else has the ability to pick up the slack. Good news is Steph isn’t exactly having a good game (more like finals) either
Who knows though maybe Mike Miller comes out and hits some money 3s like he used to in Miami.

I've been really surprised at how ineffective both Miller and James Jones have been so far in these finals. I understand they're playing very limited minutes but you would think that at least Miller would be played more to counteract GS' 3 point attack.
I've been disappointed as fuck in Curry since game 2 including tonight. I'm not sure if it's Delly's defense that's getting to him or he just got shy all of a sudden but he's been playing like shit.
But yea, man. If Cleveland goes down tonight then it's in the bag for GS despite Curry's gameplay, or lack thereof.

Nah. Cleveland just has to split one of these games. They can close out on the road, they just can’t win a game 7 in GS.

I’m pretty sure finals format is
GS 2x CLE 3x GS 2x
Cleveland can lose this game but that makes the next home game a must win.
I dont even know if Cleveland has enough in the tank to do it. Lebron looks super tired and he is going to have to be a superhuman if they want a ring. They really need that #2 guy right about now.
Smith and Shumpert have pretty much been duds. Mozgov was on but thats about it. James Jones sucks, dude has fucked up a lot in this game.
