They only shoot 3’s, horribly taken 3’s no less.
Those shots are going to dry up quick, it happens literally every year. Play a team with some defense and its over. Not too mention they have never been able to beat SA. New kids on the block that have definitely never proven themselves in big moments. Flashy no doubt, Hype? most likely, or at least until proven otherwise.

East or West of the Mississippi River. They're both very close...but
I lived in St. Paul MN briefy, 3 blocks from the river, and that is the dividing line between St Paul and Minneapolis, so I gotta say Timberwolves are west.
I had to look this up. New Orleans is mostly east, but the river intersects the city. Never been there. I'm still kicking myself for not going to Mardi Gras with a couple friends in 79.

I always thought it was backwards. Minneapolis was east St Paul west. New Orleans is on the mouth of the Mississippi, but they have never been considered west in like any context asides from basketball.
I guess northwestern is in Chicago though so Minneapolis was pretty fucking out there in like the 1850’s
I personally consider the rockies the line. Like nothing happens from Appalachia to the Rockies.
The other weird thing is the Northwest Division is PDX OKC UT Den MINN
More like midwestern division.

Golden State allows 98 points per 100 possessions which is the lowest of any team in the NBA. But I guess that has nothing to do with defense. That must be just luck.

Hawks' Thabo Sefolosha provoked by NYPD before arrest - NBA - SI.com
Questions continue to swirl around the arrest of Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha and the injuries he sustained in the early morning hours last Wednesday following the stabbing of Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland and two other people.
Sefolosha, who will miss the playoffs after undergoing season-ending surgery for a fractured tibia and ligament damage, released a statement Tuesday that said he had “experienced a significant injury and that the injury was caused by the police.” A New York Police Department spokesperson said the incident is being investigated by the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau.
A source close to Sefolosha, who did not witness the incident but has spoken to several people who did, told SI.com a divergent view of what happened from the official police account.
According to the criminal complaint against Sefolosha, an officer arrested the Hawks player and teammate Pero Antic after they refused six times to comply with his request to disperse from the crime scene. According to the complaint, an officer “observed the defendant Thabo Sefolosha run in an aggressive manner towards the direction” of another officer.
MORE NBA: Sefolosha blames police for injuries in statement
But according to the source, it was the officer who was the initial aggressor. The source said that while officers were dispersing dozens of people near the scene, one officer focused on Sefolosha, “and then he continues to track him down the block like a D-back tracking a receiver.”
At the time, the source said, Sefolosha and Antic were walking down the block to get into a car that would take them back to their team hotel. The source said Sefolosha did not run toward the cop as the complaint said. Rather, the source said “Sefolosha turns to him and asked in substance what the officer’s problem was with him.’” At this point, the source said, Sefolosha and the officer got into an argument, which led to Sefolosha’s arrest for obstruction of a governmental function, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The arrest took place at the corner of 10th Avenue, more than 120 feet away from the scene of the stabbing at 1OAK night club.
Antic was also arrested and charged with obstructing a governmental function, disorderly conduct, and harassment. According to an NYPD spokesperson, he was initially charged with menacing “for physically grabbing a police officer,” but these charges do not appear in the criminal complaint against him. The source said that rather than grabbing the officer, Antic “tapped the officer on the shoulder.”
An NYPD spokesperson said that after Sefolosha was arrested, he complained of pain in his right leg, but that he refused medical attention. Alex Spiro, the attorney for both Sefolosha and Antic, said that he advised Sefolosha to appear before the judge before he went to the hospital.
Spiro said, “As the investigation continues, we fully expect the charges against both players to be dismissed.”

Craziness going on with Sefolosha, man. Not looking good for him.
I just found out Miami was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs last night since the Pacers won. I was watching the Pacers game, they were down by double digits in the 3rd and playing like shit so I thought I had no worries and passed out. Come to find out they brought the game into double OT to end up winning it...Fuck!
First time in 6 years that the Heat aren't in the postseason and it just feels weird not looking as forward to the playoffs as I usually am.
Booty-Hooties for me.

It's bad news for the Hawks.
Yeah, it sucks when your team slumps. You can still enjoy the playoffs though.

Lowest points against. GS is 14.....

Well they are just about exactly average on the amount of points they give up a game, so useless stat is useless. (and exactly why i said they play bullshit basketball. shooting a deep contested 3 with 20 seconds left on the shot clock is just stupid, even if it does go in)

one game in the middle of February (worst basketball month) means nothing, especially against the spurs.
Has this current GS team won a series against a solid team yet? Pretty sure the lost to the Clippers right.....
Meanwhile the Spurs have 5 rings Lebron has been in the last 4 finals. Granted they got lucky as fuck, KD got injured and OKC missed the playoffs but its still an uphill climb, and i dont think they are “favorites” at all. Remember when the #8 Warriors beat #1 Dallas, of course you don’t the warriors dont have fans. Steph does
The whole point of my original post was that Harden and Curry dont even belong in MVP talks.
Whats Curry the best at? Serious question.

Oh and 98 on a 100 means the other team is shooting around 49% more when you factor in turnovers (probably what 12-14 a game?) so.... Decent?
Slow down the pace maybe.. I mean thats how the game gets played in the playoffs right, and isn’t the whole point of the regular season to prepare your team for the playoffs?
Nope its about draining stepback 27 ft threes over 3 guys.

When it comes down to it, GS is the most fun team to watch currently IMO.
The live by the 3, die by the 3 phrase isn't popular for nothing though. In the NBA's modern era there's yet to be a Championship team that uses the long range jump shot as their main way of creating offense. It's a game of percentages in shooting, and when 3's aren't falling, you can't win the games.
And that's why I believe both GS and Houston don't have a great shot at winning the title. Whatever happens in the playoffs this year, the West is gonna be really fun to watch.
You got Blazers, Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, and Thunder all in there which are gonna have some epic battles I think. My pick for the finals as of tonight is a toss up between the Spurs and Warriors vs The Cavaliers.

Thunder actually missed the playoffs by a half game
Fucking Kanter cost them the playoffs Then he goes and says he didn’t play hard for Utah because he hated it. Dude doesn’t realize he’s a free agent. I doubt OKC wants him now. What I’m talking about is Utah won a tight game against OKC (they dont even belong on the same court with them most nights) Kanter pumped the crowd and the Jazz by saying a bunch of shit, and gave them a ton of motivation. Brooks got really pissed off at him for it.
Karma is a motherfucker.
Scott Brooks has gotta be on the hotseat. Dude has had Durrant, Harden, and Westbrook and he can’t win. All 3 of those guys are top 5 talents. If I’m OKC ownership he gets one more year, since Durant was out. either Finals appearance or adios amigo.

Goes to show you how well I've been paying attention to the NBA this season Didn't even fucking know that OKC got knocked out of the postseason but it doesn't surprise me considering how deep the West is.
I had no idea Kanter got himself in so many shenanigans. Sucks for OKC and for myself kind of too since I wanted to see a 1st round series with the Thunder.
As far as Brooks goes I don't think he's gonna last much longer in OKC. Much less whoever the GM is considering he's the person that makes most of the decisions on what players to trade/sign and for how much.
I gotta give it up for OKC's scouts and recruiters though. They can without a doubt find talent...if Only Brooks would've been able to grow all that talent put in front him but he never came through. Their best year was the one where they played the Heat in the finals but since then the team has gradually been getting worse.
Anyways, who ended up with the 8th seed? And are the Spurs the 1 seed? I'm posting from my phone and am having trouble looking it up.
