Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
in some short grass in a baseball outfield
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
very light pink when young to chocolate in age. unattached
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc. thin, long staining yellow. slightly enlarged at base, veil light and cottony staining yellow, not leaving a persistent annulus
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
small for an Agaricus ,cream colored with dark brown fibrils in the center, flattening in age.
Spore print color:
brown I presume since its an agaricus
Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
yellow
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
The mushrooom has an amazing smell to it, its like a sweeter A augustus! So ya I am eating a few of the little buggers!! In mushrooms demystified it keys out to A micromegathus, which I gotta say is a fucking dope name! But David also mentions A comtulus which seems like a close match too. Whatcha all think?

Very nice, bon appetit!
idk but choosing between the two species I would suggest A. micromegathus because of the fugacious veil.

is that what thats called, fugaciuos ? Thanks Joie. They seriously have the nicest smell ever!! And this mushroom was never even on my radar! I have never even heard of it , or I overlooked it in mush demystified. But now i have prints I can germinate, or i can clone it , I can eat them, my reality has expanded just a little bit in a positive way!!
Too bad there isnt that many big Agaricus fans like myself to share this with. I know its active time so thats all anyone cares about......but where is everybody ? Has there been a mass exodus of all the old school members or something?

Nice Agaricus psylo! I agree with Joie on the species. Let us know how they come out.

I love Agaricus! Babee, culture us up some augustus! I would love to have them everywhere. Need to post up a pic of the pins flushing in a new little spot close to my others... I'm sure it's gotta be the same mycelium, maybe close to 20'. I did SO like to see that.
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."
