Daily picking! Possible p.cubensis? Or stuck with pans?
    #18946059 - 10/07/13 06:16 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Curious of these mushrooms I found on my front yard, after searching for a week, it appears treasure may have been closer then expected! Any help would be appreciated, happy pickings!
Habitat:
Canada, Northern Britist Columbia, on my yard in green grass, no feces or wood chips around.

Spore print color:
Couldn't do an accurate one! They were a little too dry, tried and it came out white.

Cap:
Was slimy yesterday, was dry today when I picked! Has stripes and sortov a nipple at top ( see pics )

Definitely not cubes :P
also, a good tip on spore printing
if the mushrooms are dried out.
Put a drop of water on top of
the cap and then let it sit for a print.

Not Psilocybe cubensis. You are way outside the climate and habitat, I'll just leave it at that.

Your mushrooms are likely a Conocybe species like herbie mentioned.

That's a mycena, Conocybes will have orange gills, those are white with a red gill edge.
