A few quick finds...
    #18945938 - 10/07/13 05:48 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
Both were under and near a pine tree in the grass.

Bruising:
Didn't see any bruising on either.

It's been pouring here (WNY) for days, then we had a warm 85 degree day and the next day was about 60.

Excited to actually get out there tomorrow.

I think Inocybe for the second mushroom.
The first is not Boletus edulis.

No annulus, which can be removed but the stem color is wrong and the
fibrils on the cap are not right.

Not a bad guess though. I see why you said it.

I thought that too but I have never seen an Inocybe like that. But there
is a lot I have not seen.

is the smooth-ish stem what changed your mind?  I know there are smooth stalked Inocybe which is why I went ahead and guessed it.

Close up of the bolete stem please!

Agreed.

Soo...OP...color of the flesh? Bruising or staining of the flesh when cut? Bruising of the pore surface? Size of the bolete? (looks small) We need to get a look at the surface of the stem to find out the texture. Was the cap sticky or was the stuff stuck to it practically cemented to the surface? If you can get a spore print, that would be a major bonus.

The pic looks like the stem may have glandular dots and it's pretty squat. I've got a very tentative guess of Suillus brevipes.
