Low Dose Shroom Trip Eliminated Social Anxiety?

First, I apologize if this is the wrong place to be posting this.
Just last Saturday I tripped on 1.4 Penis Envy and had a great time. It was enough for the introspection, but not enough to overwhelm me.
As I began to come down I instantly became much more social, and my personality flowed with complete ease. This was extremely profound, since I've never experienced such freedom and loss of anxiety in a social situation with my peers. We had a really engaging conversation and and entertaining one as well.
This is the second day after my trip, and I've noticed I still don't care what people think of me. I was able to carry myself around with high regard and high self esteem, seemingly fixing the problems I have had for a very long time. I feel free and relaxed, and now I've come to the hypothesis that 'locking myself up' in social situations may have been a major cause of depression for me. I had no qualms talking to new people and speaking up in a large group of people, and people have been reacting much more positively towards me as a result.
Now I realize that the couple days after a trip usually are different from a couple weeks down the line, but I feel completely changed, in terms of sociability. I also realize integration is a huge part and I have taken down notes of what I've learned since the trip in order to retain what I've gained.
Now, I have to ask if any of you have felt this way after tripping, and does it last? I like to think my brain made the neural connections during the trip considering the 3 hour conversation I had with my sober friends, essentially 'retraining' myself, as well as the integration of my new-found self esteem in these past couple days, but I can't be sure this enlightenment will last.
Will this wear off slowly over time? I assume more sessions are needed for full healing but I feel reborn and ready to take on the world, I haven't felt fear since my trip, so other things like my skateboarding has improved as well.
I am ecstatic with how well that trip affected me and I hope I can get some discussion going as to how well mushrooms can help a person fix these problems, because I felt like I took a miracle drug.
I'll keep updating every so often to mark any changes over the next couple days/weeks.

I understand what you are saying completely.
In my experience these things fade with time.
Eating mushrooms isn't going to just transform you into something else. They can show you the way, but it is up to you to make the transformation yourself.

I understand that it will fade to an extent, but certainly my problems with social situations won't return to base levels? There's been countless research that have concluded that even after a year since their use, participants have still felt a positive change in their lives as a result of the psychedelic experience.
What you're saying is exactly what I am afraid of, this being only temporary, but that's why I've tried my best to learn from the trip and implement as much change as possible, hopefully retaining as much as I can into my life. I've learned a few things about how to maintain a 'vibe' with others since then and I know exactly how to do so, as an example.
And I want to clear up that this wasn't purely for recreation. I came into the trip with the knowledge that this can help to allow me to solve my problems, so I am definitely trying to make this transformation.

It's only temporary if you let it be, it's all in your mind.

same thing happened to me. I have social anxiety and what I didn't realize before I took shrooms was I also had a low self esteem.
I took shrooms, it was an amazing cure. It boosted my confidence, I learned that a lot of it was in my head.
For days afterwards, I went to school completely different. I learned that anxiety was a catch .22, because when you worry about what you say you actually say the wrong things. But if the anxiety is gone, you sound perfectly normal. This lasted for weeks and while everything did go back to normal, I never forgot what I learned about confidence and that is something I have always bettered from since I first tripped on shrooms.
EDIT: when you do return to baseline you can fix it again by tripping. The only problem is you have to keep it on occasion or it looses its effectivness

How can I make sure that I am "making the transformation" and not just the shrooms?

I find it a bit hard to explain, but try holding on to what the trip taught you about yourself, others and your social anxiety. Try to remember, you know? And work on it. It's not free.
You can work on it by doing social things you'd normally hate, and see what has changed, and hold on to that change.

Excellent, and smart. If you haven't already, try and distill it down to some core insights that are clear and meaningful. Explore these as much as you want, but try to keep the underlying messages concise enough so you can refer to them in the future.
In my personal experience, tripping is the easy part. Integrating the psychedelic experience into your life and to your benefit long-term is a tremendous challenge.

It definitely won't completely return you to baseline over time. You'll retain a lot of what you've learned especially if this is your first trip, but a lot will fade.
Here's an interesting video on mushrooms causing neurogenesis which is what you seem to be describing a bit. Maybe the timespan in which these neurons develop is the timespan you have to integrate your experience before it loses it's value. Just a thought:

Interesting, so it appears that I am actively integrating the experience. Thankfully I have been doing the things that I regularly used to "hate" doing with ease nowadays, so rewiring must be in the works :P
The video compared 25i-NBOMe with Psilocybin, why in particular did he choose that? I'm curious because my first trip was with what I thought was acid and realized only after the trip that it was 25i. I particularly remember feeling drained and depressed the day after but that may have been because it was a traumatizing trip for me. It also mentioned a decrease in neurogenesis with acute and high dose injections, is that right? That's ironic, since I would assume a full blown ego-death/spiritual trip would be the most insightful and would allow the most room for change in a person.
This was my 3rd trip, so I have some experience, but this is what I would consider my first successful trip.
Day 3 and still feeling the same fearless attitude in social situations.
