smell after throwing out contaminated monotube

Hi all
I got a question: how to get rid of smell of the monotube, after it has been contaminated and emptied out. I mean it still smells like rotten fruit. I rubbed it with some disinfectant but still it smells rotten. What do you use when cleaning after contaminated tube?
thanks

Bleach solution on a high concentration ratio (1:20). Fill it, let it sit a couple of days and then drain it, clean it with water and soap and let it rest for another day in the sun. Or make another monotube ; ...

Btw,
1:20 means one part of bleach to 20 parts of water. It can be 1:30 or 1:50 but if you want to be aggressive on the cleaning, then go for higher concentration ratios (1:20).

Since its a plastic tub with a few holes in, wouldn't it be easier/cleaner/better practise to throw out and start again???
Just a thought.

Actually i have been doing that, just wanted to know is that the best practice or there is something i can do. But yeah, definitely easier to just throw away.
Thank you

Scrub with soap & water. It shouldn't take more a couple minutes to get the smell out.

Ive had this before and threw then away, well cut them up and threw so nice and stealthy. I think this is best practise and any chance of comtams staying after clean is not worth the risk when you have managed to get that far with colonised jars.

That's not the best practice, it's ridiculous. I guarantee there'll be more contaminants on a plastic tub you just bought than a plastic tub you just cleaned regardless of whether or not there was contaminated substrate in it in the past.
