If you don't get them spayed or neutered you aren't really helping anyone by continuing to feed them.
I was watching this thing on TV once about some town where the population of skunks exploded because so many people were leaving food out for stray cats.

Where I'm from there are many stray cats in any given neighborhood, unspayed, and unfed by humans. They scavenge and survive as they will.

that's shitty, it's usually a handfull of people that cause that

I understand where you guys are coming from, but it didn't seem too shitty at the time. Cats have had that sort of symbiotic relationship with humans for a long time, its good for both of us - they exterminate vermin and we provide them a level of protection.
Feeding the strays is where the problem really arises I think, personally I find it sad how western society has taken to caging them into houses and depriving them of their freedom (killing/neutering the strays). My old neighborhood looks like a ghost town without the strays.

One of many issues with feeding strays, another is the decline of the local bird population. I love cats, but I don't like shit rats.

So here, look at homeless cats

Man that cat is identical to my cat right down to the mustache. Mine was an orphaned and I had to bottle feed her and her 2 sisters Mine was the runt now she is a beast like 15 muscular pounds and she listens too. Lots of areas have places that will spay/neuter ferals and strays for free my sisters are both active in this type of group where they live you should look into it.

Yes. I confess that I would love to see kittens in jet packs. For what goes up... provides meals when it comes down.
Free meals for all.

wow an entire kilo huh? and I assume this was a one time event in the name of a photo op. how about you stop giving these dying cats false hope if you aren't going to make any sort of lasting difference in their lives.

it'll be plush kitty then crash test kitty tested. i'm looking at investing quite a bit into the project and hopefully get a grant for another one of 3 i'm planning. honestly, if I can get these kitties in the air without struggle, then it'll be one cool project that'll blow people's minds. my cats and my rocks are going to change the world...next year.

Way ahead of you. I like to think of it as indirectly feeding the cats with sunflower seeds

I feed cats whenever and wherever I can. I don't buy them a kilo everyday but I give what I can when I can. On this occasion I felt bad for the kitty in the last pic (one with the tongue showing). Its leg was hurt and first I thought someone threw a rock at it or stomped it or something but the more I observed them I realized its the bigger cats giving it a hard time. They would pound it extra hard and it would fall on its back, initially freeze and then start shaking in fear. Big cats beat up little cats but fuck nature and its ways cause that cat was gonna die since it couldn't compete with the other cats. My aim is not to give them false hope but let them experience the joy of a full tummy before they die (if that happens).

I don't think they annoy the local population because people are actively feeding a crew of between 2-4 cats in their backyards. The ones I fed where in the centre of the city and people are generally tolerant of kitty business and support their population. There were lots and lots of cats of all kinds of varieties and I haven't heard of substantial complaints other than a cat walking into the house and stealing someones dinner or something but thats just if you ask me
