growing in my garden, no idea !
    #18943655 - 10/07/13 07:12 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Could anyone help identify the specimens growing in my garden ?

All are growing in the grass close to a conifer hedge which is slowly dying. location in Hampshire, UK

There was an oak tree on the site of the fungus but is now long gone. The single fungus called No 1 is about 18cm in diameter and close to the ground on a short stem so I can't photograph underneath it. Its the only one growing so I don't want to pick it. The cap is slightly concave, and the markings are almost like a tiger's markings.

The other specimen (no 2) is growing in large clumps and are plentiful. A delicate cap about 3 - 5cm diameter with a thin stem

#2 is a coprinoid species, something close to Coprinellus micaceus.
