And still... not a budget.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

Who says?  Patty Murray?

They're prepared to meet now.  They've passed several bills, each one demanding less impact on Obamacare.  The first one defunded it.  The second one delayed, something that the cocksucking President has done repeatedly and the third one simply required an end to special treatment for favored cronies.  Now we have the cocksucker saying there will be no negotiating at all on anything.

At the fault of the House.  They grandstand saying the senate doesn't pass a budget, but when the senate does, the won't meet with them about it.

:lolsy:, you really try hard to make the GOP look like a group of saints.  You don't have to like democrats to say they're right.

The Senate won't meet now and I don't believe a single word Patty Murray says.  Would you please provide a link to a Republican saying they won't meet with the Senate?  Like I have repeated quotes for both Reid and Obama that they won't negotiate.  Something like that would go a long way to supporting your argument.  Patty Murray does not.

By the way, I am disgusted with the Republicans for abandoning conservative principles.  But they are fucking miles better than the Dem Fascists.

Reid and Obama have had no problem saying they won't negotiate.  I know you don't care what I say.  I don't post to convince you, I post to embarrass you before the general reading public.  I think I do a pretty good job of it.  Not that you would feel shame.  Liberals never feel shame even when they get caught with hookers, posting dick pics and putting cigars and other things in women 30 years younger than them.  Also molestation and rape.

Try to get it right.  And I'm not losing.  But you are.  Since when are liberals allowed to use the word "faggot"?

Mark Foley, a Republican Congressman from Florida, but I think I mistook him visually for the Sen from out west they caught soliciting in an airport rest room.

Then looking up Mark I found, There were also allegations that a second Republican Congressman, Jim Kolbe, had improper conduct with at least two youths, a 16-year old page and a recently graduated page.

We can play this game both ways, but that's another thread.

Would you like to back those up?  As far as I know Mark Foley never touched anyone and Kolbe is complete bullshit.

AS FAS AS YOU KNOW.  Boy let me tell you what a warm fucking fuzzy feeling that gives me. Shit Zap you get whimpier with each post.

Nope, their guilty, they got away with it due to their position and may they rot in hell, if there is such a place and I would say that if it was a Dem who did that. Child molesters deserve their own special hell.

The restroom perp, another thing I couldn't less about.

UH, do they get a fair trial before you convict them?  Or is this another example of what we will get in your ideal Socialist Utopia? :smirk:

I remember that bathroom deal, I thought it was some dude in Montana, a congressman, or somehwere up there, he was into the 'tap three times on the stall if you want me, twice on the pipes means I'm ready to blow...' :rofl2:

So come on, why don't you just open your eyes and realize that both sides of the two-party system are corrupt, cock-sucking lying scumbags who are merely in it for their own interest?  None of them give two fucks about anything except who to throw a bone to in order to garner more votes.

You can say "ACA the law of the land" till your blue in the face you can throw temper tantrums about Republican attempts to defund it, but at the end of the day they're doing it because it is in their authority to do so. If it wasn't the Dems would do something about it and get it funded without the Republican house without a government shutdown. Why haven't the Dems done this? It's an obvious answer, they can't.

It really is that simple, you don't have to agree with it, you don't have to like it, but that's the way it is in reality. As has been pointed out to you Democrats have done the same thing in the past.

We can speculate on the political fallout from all this, and why not?, this is a political forum after all, but until the elections it's really just lefties speculation vs. righties speculation.

Don't delude yourself about 3 FACTS though.
1. The House isn't doing anything outside it's authority.
2. This isn't the first time "the law of the land" has been defunded
3. Democrats have voted to defund the "law of the land" in the past. This isn't unique to the Republican Party

I think we should cut all the social parasites from their welfare checks. Then they will either find a means to support themselves or starve to death, either of wich is good for the economy and society.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

DOMA was the "law of the land" and the admin said they wouldn't even defend it- which is illegal by the way. Agree with it or not, it was the law of the land. Citizen's united is the law of the land. Hypocrites.

Seriously, dumbest talking point ever.

It's AREADY funded that's why

Yes laws have been defunded. I know, most of the Gun laws have been defund by pubs

But show me where in US history there has been a defunding without a vote and holding the country hostage and shutdown by a minority party.

Ummm, The Republicans are the MAJORITY PARTY in the House. Besides you do realize that a minority party would still have rights and authority don't you.

Here is a partial list of government shutdowns when Democrats were the minority in government overall (in these examples as well they were the Majority party in the House) and caused government shutdowns

1981 Nov 20 Nov 23
President Reagan,  Senate: Rep  House: Dem
President Ronald Reagan pledged that he would veto any spending bill that failed to include at least half of the $8.4 billion in domestic budget cuts that he proposed. Although the Republican controlled Senate passed a bill that met his specifications, the Democratically controlled House insisted on larger cuts to defense than Reagan wanted as well as pay raises for congress and senior civil servants. A compromise bill fell $2 billion short of the cuts Reagan wanted, so Reagan vetoed the bill and shut down the federal government. A temporary bill restored spending through December 15 and gave Congress the time to work out a more lasting deal.

1982 Sep 30 Oct 2
President: Reagan  Senate: Rep House: Dem
Congress passed the required spending bills a day late. 1982 Dec 17 Dec 21 3 Reagan Rep Dem The House and Senate wished to fund job programs, but President Reagan vowed to veto any such legislation. The House also opposed plans to fund the MX missile. The shutdown ended after Congress abandoned their jobs plan, but Reagan was forced to yield on funding for both the MX and Pershing II missiles. He also accepted funding for the Legal Services Corporation, which he wanted abolished, in exchange for higher foreign aid to Israel.

1983 Nov 10 Nov 14
President: Reagan Senate: Rep House: Dem
The House increased education funding but cut defense and foreign aid spending, which led to a dispute with President Reagan. Eventually, the House reduced their proposed education funding, and also accepted funding for the MX missile. However, the foreign aid and defense cuts remained, and oil and gas leasing was banned in federal wildlife refuges. Abortion was also prohibited from being paid for with government employee health insurance.

1984 Sep 30 Oct 3
President: Reagan Senate: Rep  House: Dem
The House wished to link the budget to both a crime-fighting package President Reagan supported and a water projects package he did not. The Senate additionally tied the budget to a civil rights measure designed to overturn Grove City v. Bell. Reagan proposed a compromise where he abandoned his crime package in exchange for Congress dropping the water projects package. A deal was not struck, and a three-day spending extension was passed instead.

1984 Oct 3 Oct 5
President: Reagan  Senate: Rep House: Dem
The October 3 spending extension expired, forcing a shutdown. Congress dropped its proposed water and civil rights packages, while President Reagan kept his crime package. Funding for aid to the Nicaraguan Contras was also passed.

1986 Oct 16 Oct 18
President: Reagan  Senate:Rep  House: Dem
Disputes over multiple issues between the House and President Reagan and the Republican Senate forced a shutdown. The House dropped many of their demands in exchange for a vote on their welfare package, and a concession of the sale of then-government-owned Conrail.
