What strain for a beginner

I want a strain that can take some beginner abuse and has an about equal yield to potency ratio, somebody on another board recommended golden teacher but it seems to have mixed reviews? I was thinking either golden teacher, b+, or penis envy. The problem is i can't find any clear information on the potency of any of these besides penis envy.

All strains are the same basically, except for penis envy because its a mutant ( its not good for beginners or cakes I hear) the differences in the strains are mainly appearence and that's it. Potency is genetics, any strain you pick can produce strong shrooms or weak shrooms, its just genetics. When somebody gets super potent thais they tell everyone its the strongest strain. I grew it and got the worst yields I think ever actually and potency was ok, not very visual though. Basically what I'm saying is multispore is a crapshoot as its sometimes called. Just get equadors, I say this because they make really beautiful nice and big cubes, but golden teacher, p.e.s. hawaiians and amazons would treat you great too. The strongest strain I grew was brazillian, but as I said before you could order a brazillian syringe and grow weak shitty shrooms with a low yield. Fortunately there's something called cloning and isolating you should look up.

There's a difference between "strain" and "variety".
A varity is say Burma, PESH , TC, etc...
Say you inoculate a petri dish w/ a Burma spore print or syringe. All those spores are strains germinating and growing. Burma would be the variety.
Op - I really like PESH and Mazatapec when I started. Golden Teacher stands by it name and will teach you a ton.

Yes I'm aware of that, we need to call vendor strains varieties from now on, I wanted to give the info so the new guy would understand but I should have made that clear. For every "strain" (variety) there's thousands of strains( real strains) possible depending on how the spores germinate and merge with eachother. Ik its confusing other people can word things better. Thats why even th same variety ( lets say two equador prints)give different results bc there a combination of multiple strains that are genetically different from eachother. The less strains you end up with the better, that's why you don't want a really dark syringe. You just end up with too many different strains and your shrooms can vary in potency which is annoying for dosing purposes.

That and the darker the syringe, the higher the chances of failure due to contamination.
No spore print is ever 100% clean, this is why we only grab a small amount of spores per syringe, so there is less of a chance of grabbing something nasty along with them.

I did GTs for PF tek my first time around, and it was fantastic! Though B+ is also really good for beginners I've heard.

It does not, it is a cube, and cubes are cubes.
GT is a perfect first variety....you will love them.
