Help identifying ubiquitous LBM

I'm wondering if someone can help me identify this LBM. It is *everywhere* in the urban forests around my place. I'm in South Surrey, BC but I'd expect this little guy is all over the place in the Bellingham area (and elsewhere?) too.
Habitat: Everywhere! I guess I haven't inspected the type of ground where this is found very much. I see it around rotting wood, around ferns, in douglas fir/cedar/mixed deciduous forest -- the little park forests that are everywhere in the suburbs of the Fraser valley.
Gills: Light brown, same color as cap.
Stem: ~3-8cm long, 3-5mm diameter, off-white to light brown -- lighter in color than the cap. Fibrillose (I guess) near the base, i.e., covered in hair-like structures pointing out to the sides.
Cap: 3-6cm diameter, most seem light brown, like the color of unhulled sesame seeds; but they can be darker. Shape is generally flattened convex aging into plane and then uplifted.
Spore print color: White.
General: No bruising; rather tough/woody in texture, i.e., not an extremely fragile mushroom.

Thanks for the ID Jet Li!
In case any other noobs are interested, these are discussed (barely) in Mushrooms Demystified in the comments section of the entry for Collybia confluens. Gymnopus peronatus is also known as Collybia peronata and Marasmius urens. Apparently they have an acrid (or burning) taste, so enjoy! ...
Yeah, it is kind of annoying to see these little guys everywhere when one is looking for more interesting finds. Still, it's nice to know what they are and a little bit about them ...
