Mini Mono Help-

Im totally lost on the mono tub advances. I have read through frank's Getting Things Done. I also looked up the old glossary. So here is what I did, and what did I do wrong?
- Fully colonized RGS was dunk'd for 30 mins.
- Bagged my mini mono, and spread out RGS (after it drained) evenly.
- I had about 1 1/2 - 2 inch substrate layer.
- I then cased the top of it with 50/50 Coir/Verm and Gypsum.
- Top and bottom holes are tightly packed poly (for colonization).
- Been around 5 days, about 45% colonized casing.
So here are my questions.
Should I leave it be until 100% colonized casing layer? Does it need another dunk after the casing layer is complete, before 1st flush?

Thanks for advise, I am rusty with the tubs.

As you used more substrate as "casing layer" (more like a top layer here), I'd say you want to wait for 100% colonization.
There should be no need to dunk before 1. flush, no.
In hindsight, I think you would be better off just mixing the spawn and substrate thoroughly. Would make for way less colonization time.
EDIT: I think usually around here most people tape up the holes for colonization, and let the imperfection in the lid provide for GE. Unless you maybe stack your tubs, pressing the lids down, giving no GE. I'd still tape those bottom holes anyway..

Thanks. Being quite lazy, and not having a 1 1/2 inch hole saw I used my 3" so my Holes are Huge!
I really did not think this tub would make it this far, because my coir/Verm was not properly pasteurized. But we will see.
Thanks, I will tape the bottom holes. When did people start mixing their Spawn and their Casing mix? Is the idea of layering out now?
