pure o2 for fae

Im starting a experiment with pure O2, you can get them at lowes in red can. If i took and hooked thisup in FC think it would have any effects. I was thinking torch head hook ruber hose with poly fiber filter inside. Use a glass of water to adjust flow (watch bubbles). Get it as low as possable put in fruiting chamber for FAE

Pure O2 can be dangerous because of the fire hazard, but post your results. I too am interested in something to help with FAE, as a SGFC done to spec won't work for my situation, since I have too many fans running 24/7.

Cubes thrive in fresh air. We try to mimic nature as best we can
I think pure 02 would hinder growth, rather than help.

Our bodies we're not designed by the earth to breath pure oxygen and neither are mushrooms

But about just adding it to your existing FAE system. Just a high o2 environment. Pure o2 isnt that dangerous my father use to smoke wearing his. Cigs burnt faster lol

Then why do they give it to sick ppl uf its not good for you. Its even used in nfl on sidelines to catch breathe

If it was optimal for us, we would use it all the time. Not only when there's circumstances that prevent out body from getting the amount of o2 it needs.

I could be wrong too just trying to get some debate going. I think the cost would be a major factor unless you got a o2 generator.

Don't let us discourage you from your experiment. By all means proceed. We are just trying to convey our thoughts and predictions

Well take plants they use co2 outa air. But if you put them in a high co2 environment they thrive pulling in more then nature provides. So why not o2 with mushrooms

Fresh air is different from pure o2. Cubes want as much fresh air as possible, it doesn't necessarily mean pure o2.
Are you having this much fae issues to take such drastic measures? Have you already exhausted all other options and really looked at where your issue is coming from?

"By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen,[1] 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases"

I am just saying if you look into gas PPM, you will be amazed. It is worth a try, but I would recommend an oxygen concentrator instead of a highly flammableaccelerant gas in a pure concentration.
Edit: Oxygen allows things to burn, but it will not combust on it's own. Thanks for clarifying that RR>

Nope everythings great. Just bored abd want bigger flushes. But if mycelium gives off co2 like i read then they have to be using o2. Cant make co2with out it. I know fungus is more animal like then plant. But its worth a shot. IMO

This thread gets repeated at least once per week. It's interesting how everyone thinks they're the first one to come up with the idea.
A quick search will reveal that no observed benefit has ever come from O2 enriched air. Mushrooms are not NFL athletes who just ran 100 yards, nor are they lung cancer or whatever patients with only partial lung capacity.
By the way, oxygen isn't flammable. It's a combustion accelerator. RR

Yes. In the 80s I ran a DME business for a few years and we sold liquid O2 as well as concentrators and tanks. I did many test grows with O2 since I had it free.
The best use for oxygen in my opinion is as a sure-fire hangover cure. Drink a tall glass of water and then breath 15 lpm for half an hour. You'll be good as new. RR
