Found number 3 under an apple tree on my property. 9 volt is for size comparison. Might be...?

Second pic is Boletus edulis, in prime condition, if you are looking for an ID request. I can't tell if you are or not. I didn't think you were at first.

I kinda knew that about the edulis. I have eaten quite a few of these tasty beasties this season. The 3rd ones might be gyms, but unsure of the id because of the apple tree host.

Was the cap sticky at all on #3? They kind of look like a Pholiota species to me.

Not that I could tell but these are really small. They grow in clusters like gyms. Have gyms been known to grow under friut trees? These were in the same spot last year and I got rusty spore prints from them.

I don't know of any Pholiota with a swelled stem like that. They look like Gymnopilus to me.

There are tons of them coming up. Very tiny. No blue/green bruising like the ones in the top pic (happened after disassembling the cluster). Will have to wait a few days to get better specimens.
