30 gallon mono

Saw a guy bragging how he got a lb per tub dry from a 30 gallon mono using :
1. 2 Bricks Coir 2. 8+ Quarts of spawn 3. 2 Quarts Coarse Verm 4. 600ml of Gypsum Dissolve into my Coir Water 5. 2 gallons of 190F-210F H20
just curious as to what everyone else thinks about this, is it possible or is it a myth? He said it was a non isolated MS LC with 4+ tubs, I just can't find anything on this and am thinking of trying it.

a 55 quart mono can produce that with 5 quarts spawn and 11 quarts Hpoo, I know that for a fact.

It can be done if you know what you're doing. Large tubs like than can be tricky to get RH and FAE right.
If you divide that in to 2 tubs, then you are more likely to achieve the same results.

Yeah, I was using 5 quarts spawn, 1 brick of coir, 2 quarts of verm, and 4 quarts of water in an 18 gallon tub and was getting 9ish oz per.
Was just looking for a tek that used less spawn and took up less room while still maintaining the same yeild.

That's good. You're only using 2 more quarts of spawn than that other guy. Sounds like you have it dialed in.
Less spawn usually just means slower colonization. It doesn't directly effect your yields.
In my opinion, there is a lot of hype about using large amounts of spawn.
Try just using 4 quarts of spawn in your recipe and see how much difference it makes. I bet you hardly notice.
Also, try dunking your grains before spawning.

Well thank you sir, I think I will try and use 4 quarts of spawn next time while experimenting with a 30 gallon and 8 quarts of spawn and see which is better as far as amount of spawn/space/yield/time and try and report back.
