Monotub Colonization

Hello fellow shroomery members. I have a question for you concerning monotub colonization. Last Wednesday, October 2nd, I spawned two monotubs. I am fairly new to cultivation, and trying to get some experience under my belt. As I am new, I don't have a keen eye yet to determine whether a mono is fully colonized or not. I peeked at each tub I have and was supprized to see the entire surface is covered in thick mycelium. The tub appears to be fully colonized, but over such a short period of time makes me worried. It smells strongly of fresh mushrooms, making me think it's not contaminated.
My question is this, is such a short colonization time out of the ordinary? Obviously using a higher spawn to sub ratio would speed colonization times, but I only used 7 jars. What are the best signs to determine whether the tub is fully colonized or not?
I though including my process might help those who wish to answer.
The first thing I did was prepare 14 WBS grain jars. My grains were made with Frank's WBS tek, including the coffee in the soak/boil and gypsum as well.
I used G2G transfers on the 14 jars after PC. The G2G transfer jars were inoced via MS.
These jars finished colonizing in 8 days, while some colonized faster than others.
I've read on the forum of people not using sterile conditions when spawn
I pasteurized 2 large grow bags, each one containing 1 650mg brick of coir, 2 quarts of vermiculite, and 5 quarts of water.
Smelled each jar as I followed Frank's monotub stuff including the gypsum. I made sure to mix the spawn and sub very well to encourage even colonization. I forgot to ad I leveled out the mix in attempts to reach a more even pinset.
My substrate was a tad too wet from what I have read on the forums, but I thought it would be fine. In the end when I mixed my spawn and sub together in each mono, the result seemed to be the at the desired saturation level anyways.

That is very fast though. But not unheard of.
