You should try posting ID questions in the Hunting section. But yes, those are indeed Psilocybe semilanceata

to me they look like libs. My first time dose was 25 dried shrooms. I weigh 70kg that time.

Thanks for the quick replies! I have another question, do you guys think that will be enough for a good strong first time trip? I read that only taking about a gram can be a bit iffy at times. Should i take these all in one or go out hunting for some more?

libs are 2-3 stronger than cubes. bare that in mind when you choose your dose.
On libs i've tripped at 1.5 and 2g, both being pretty fackin strong.

Ok thanks for the tips! One more little question about drying, these mushrooms are currently between 2 layers of newspaper in a parcel type thing. Will this be enough to dry them properly and prevent rotting? I do not own a fan unfortunately so i dont have many options for drying...

I think that's a pretty terrible way to dry them tbh mate! (no scientific support, just sounds to me like it will make them rot). I'd say open oven on low with some kind of F.A.E will be your best bet.

Yes, those are libs. Air flow is needed for drying. If you have no fan you could try the oven on low with the door open or lay them out on paper or cardboard where there is some air flow.

If you use the oven check them frequently and if they start getting soggy, take them out. Paper towels on a cookie sheet or something like that.

What part of the UK are in? Just a general region, not fishing for an exact location, wondering when to go out hunting the fields near me..
You obviously have a computer, dry them by the output of the fan, works a treat for smaller amounts.

Hey, the computer fan idea seems to be working very well for me however my fan does get quite hot. will this be a problem? I am in the west midlands, and i found about 30 shrooms in a reasonably small area in one hour, there are lots about in the UK at the moment. Thank you all for the great advice

You can put them a couple of inches from the fan, the warm air flow will do the job without cooking them. Works great on bud too.
I will go for a hunt this week for actives when the weather cools at the end of the week, I'm a bit further south and it's been a very warm year, usually most of the trees are losing most of their leaves by now, as it is most are still in full vegetation.
Late Oct has always been best around here but I always enjoy the hunt, been doing it for around 15 years now.
