My first Bucket o'fun - Updated harvest pics

So, my math screwed me over on my latest spawn-day, and I ended up making a _OttO_ Bucket o'fungus from the excess spawn and substrate.
It's been fruiting for a week/10 days now, after 6 days of colonization time. About 4 days after fruting my sub started looking a bit dry, so I gave it a light mist. Noticed a lot of aerial myc "melting" when the water hit it. About 3-4 days later it was time to mist again, so 2 mists before 1 flush so far. Again the aerial myc had popped up and melted away when water hit it.
Am I not getting enough FAE? As there is blobs of aerial myc on my surface? Still, I have to mist before 1.flush.
Any input is welcome, even if it's just reassurance

It doesn't look too awful bad. I read the tek and there is no way that bucket is going to get as much fae as it needs. What if you made a couple more 1.5 inch holes near the top of the bucket and stuffed them very loose kind of like how we do a mono. Also keep a fan runningnearby

I have 2 top holes now, I removed the poly in them last night (12hrs ago). I also turned my table fan to HI (LO/HI). I could try to make the holes a bit larger if things aren't any better in 24 hrs
But why does it dry up even when I'm not getting enough fae? A monotub should not need misting before 1 flush if dialed in properly.

Well it isn't a mono though I don't think I am the right guy to really help you since I just don't have any experience with the bucket of fungus. Like I said before it doesn't look that bad. It will probably be OK

Well maybe just leave that upper polyfill out and mist and fan a few times a day like a sgfc

Hehe, thanks guys! I truly do enjoy it, but if there's any minor tweaks I can do to improve and make those babbies thrive, I wanna know it
It's not so much about getting some shrooms as learning to read them, and figure out what they want.

If anything at all, perhaps some more light. Other than that you have a very happy myco bucket.
I would consider this a mono. Same principles. It's great dude. Seeking perfection may not have to do with your procedures but the luck of the draw. Genetics seem slightly better than typical here so that's great. It's a very happy bucket.

Yeah, it definately needs more light. My house has something wrong with the electric setup, so my light bulbs often goes black as I turn the lights on. It's been standing on my bed next to the window now, waiting for a 15w cfl to show up in the mail. Can't get 6500k bulbs in my country for some reason, only special shops sell them for almost 40$.
It's a "limited" MS-grow, inoc'd 4 jars, took the best jar and g2g to 6 more, then took the best 2 of those and g2g'd to 15 more, 9 went to my tub and 6 to this bucket.

I used to use them, but they "broke". Takes 1-2 weeks to get the new ones in the mail.
For the record, I'm using pint jars. Not 6 qt of spawn in one bucket :P

Well, my country is crazy about import taxes and stuff, so to every order over 30$ they add 25% taxes, and shipping is usually 10$ pr bulb. A PC would cost me over 300$ shipped + taxes, even when original price was 100-150$.
I use a 10L PC, pint jars, and have just found an online store selling 6500k bulbs with free shipping. Almost only 5w LED's, but found this and ordered 4 right away: http://dx.com/p/e27-15w-6500k-white-light-screw-type-energy-saving-lamp-ac-220v-128040
Damn annoying that the bulbs keep going black because of my house has terrible electric circuits.
PS: I live in Scandinavia, northern Europe.

So, I've been running a fan directly at the tub for the last 10hrs or so, and it appears the shrooms are still getting larger white stockings. Cut 2 more 1" holes at the top, and took a pic so I'll remember how it's looking now.

Stuffed the 2 holes that are facing the fan with very little poly, kept the last 2 open, and will aim the fan directly at it during the night. It's 4am here, I gotta get some sleep, and tomorrow they'll probably be screaming for a little tender loving misting

Ok, an update on the progress so far. The fan directed at my bucket ended up bruising the fruit bodies, so I figured it was way too much.
I'm using no poly at all in the 4 top holes now, and have my fan turned away and set to LO. The white fuzzy feet have just been getting worse, even though my dry rings now cover the entire bucket. Still some water droplets left on the lower part of the bucket, I'd say I have 3-4" dry rings now. Still those damn fuzzy feet.

Something I've been pondering: Could it be that my bottom polystuffed holes aren't stuffed tightly enough? Or maybe too tight? Something is wrong, and not allowing the airflow that creates the huge dry rings to flow deep down in my bucket, but only pass over the top of my shrooms.
EDIT: the last pictures lie, I've just recently misted the bucket. There's usually close to no condensation because of my wast dry rings.

Quit worrying so much! It looks great. The fuzzy feet could just be a genetic trait. Nice job

If the pictures represent the worst of the problem in terms of the fuzzy feet then I wouldn't be too worried personally. Granted I'm a total nooblet.. ^_^
